A method and system for updating a topology on router nodes in a distributed storage system are described. The method can include obtaining, by a first service of a control plane service, topology information from an inventory data store by querying a second service of the control plane service that manages the inventory data store for the topology information. The method can further include generating, by the first service of the control plane service, a topology payload based on the obtained topology information. The method can also include sending, by the first service of the control plane service, a request comprising the topology payload to a router node.

Systems and methods for streamlined topology updates for distributed data storage

A processing device and method for managing a distributed storage system with a control plane is described. The processing device may perform operations including receiving, with a first service, a request to perform an operation associated with a cluster of nodes, wherein the cluster includes one or more router nodes and one or more data storage nodes that are associated with the router nodes, and validating, with the first service, the request. In response to the request being validated, the processing device may perform, with a second service, the operation associated with the cluster. The performing of the operation may include calling on the first service, to access an inventory database that stores an association between the router nodes and the data storage nodes, and communicating the operation with a service of the router nodes to implement the operation.

Control plane service of a distributed caching platform

Examples are disclosed that relate to recommending resources accessible via an online ecosystem. One example provides a computing system including a logic machine and a storage machine holding instructions executable by the logic machine to, for each of a plurality of users of an online ecosystem, obtain and store interaction data regarding interactions of the user with one or more digital content items accessible via the online ecosystem, and receive a request associated with a selected user for a recommendation related to resources accessible via the online ecosystem. The instructions may be further executable to retrieve, for at least a subset of users of the plurality of users, the interaction data, apply a weighted matching algorithm to determine one or more similar users that are similar to the selected user, and output a recommendation for the selected user of one or more recommended resources accessible via the online ecosystem.
