Rapid, large volume, dead layer-free 3D printing

A process to cure and/or modify the surface of a three dimensional (3D) printed part comprising the steps of immersing a three dimensional (3D) printed part, containing reactive moieties, into a liquid bath at an elevated temperature to effect polymerization of the reactive moieties of the 3D printed part to provide a cured 3D printed part is described. The liquid bath can further contain reactive molecules that can react with the surface of the 3D printed part to provide a coating which alters the surface characteristics of the 3D printed part.

Methodologies to rapidly cure and coat parts produced by additive manufacturing

Disclosed herein is a massively parallel patterning tool for the deposition of single metals or metal alloys with size and composition control. Methods of the disclosure use a hydrogel array of pyramidal pen tips as a medium for localized electrodeposition, in conjunction with a scanning probe lithography platform and a three-electrode cell. This versatile technique can be used for high-throughput 3D printing, biomolecule patterning, or screening of catalyst nanoparticles or thin films.

Harmonics, which appear with seismic reflection signals and are responsive to actual vibrations of a land-vibrator for petroleum exploration, are effectively utilized in pulse compression techniques by applying a correlation operator (CO) signal representative of the actual vibrations injected into the earth. In the invention, the CO signal may be acquired by detecting the motion of the baseplate of the land vibrator. Signal correlation procedures are then used to define an inverse filter whose output is pulse-like in response to the CO signal, and the reflected signal is applied to the inverse filter to yield a pulse compressed signal including harmonic energy.
