A readout circuit for an amplitude modulating sensor includes a first and second wavelength light source; an optical coupler coupled to receive a first light signal from the first wavelength light source and a second light signal from the second wavelength light source; a frequency selector that allows for the first light signal to pass to the amplitude modulating sensor; and a detector system coupled to the optical coupler to receive the first light signal and the second light signal after the first light signal is modulated by the amplitude modulating sensor and independently detect the two signals. The detector system generates electronic signals representing the modulated first light signal and the second light signal and removes a common mode signal of the modulated first light signal and the second light signal, removing common mode noise or attenuation in the modulated first light signal.

Readout circuits for amplitude modulating sensors

A high-frequency dynamic pressure transducer calibration system and method is provided. The method directs a source onto a diaphragm of a dynamic pressure transducer. An oscillating voltage at a target frequency (or range of frequencies) is generated. The oscillating voltage is coupled to an electrical connector of the dynamic pressure transducer. A deflection pattern of the diaphragm is recorded. The dynamic pressure transducer is calibrated by correlating magnitude of the deflection pattern with the oscillating voltage as a function of the target frequency (or range of frequencies).

High-frequency reciprocal transducer calibration

A microscale sensor structure is provided that enables backside electrical connection to flush-mounted microscale sensors without through-wafer-vias (TWVs). A flush-mounted microscale sensor can be fabricated without TWVs by providing a sensor support substrate with openings for electrical connection access to the backside of a device layer. Backside electrical connection is made to the sensing element(s) of the device layer through the openings in the support substrate. Electrical isolation of the sensing element(s) from the support substrate is accomplished through use of an insulating support substrate and/or an insulating layer between the support substrate and the device layer.

Microscale sensor structure with backside contacts and packaging of the same

The present invention includes a snap installation adaptor designed to be united with a handheld tool so that the union can permanently affix snaps onto fabric. The snap installation adaptor includes an upper portion with a cap node; a lower portion with a socket node; an intermediate portion connecting the upper and lower portions; and means for transferring external downward force from the handheld tool through the upper portion so that the cap node is forced to meet the socket node, thus permanently affixing a snap onto a piece of fabric between the upper and lower portions.

Snap installation tool adaptor

A filler adapter assembly for a multichambered container. The filler adapter mounts on the open end of a multichambered container. The filler adapter enables individual chambers within the container to be emptied or filled without contaminating adjacent chambers. The assembly includes a filler adapter and a releasable closure. The filler adapter is a hollow tubular member having a closure end which matingly engages the open end of the container. The closure end provides plugs and a gasket for sealing all chambers except a single selected chamber. A small opening in the closure end overlies the selected chamber providing fluid communication between the selected chamber and a conical lumen within the filler adapter. The releasable closure provides a leak proof seal between the filler adapter and container. The stem of the funnel or similar device may be placed in the larger opening of the conical lumen and a fluid introduced into the selected chamber. Likewise, fluid may be drained from the selected chamber by simply inverting the container with the filler adapter assembly in place. Plugs in the closure end of the filler adapter occlude the openings of the other chambers, preventing drainage of fluid therefrom, while the larger opening in the conical lumen provides drainage for emptying the desired chamber. An air vent in the filler adapter enables the escape of gas during filling and provides on overflow channel for preventing overfilling the chamber.
