A medical support assembly for a moving pallet of a diagnostic imaging device is provided. The medical support assembly includes a support member having an elongate shaft defining a longitudinal axis and a transverse shaft mounted substantially orthogonal with respect to the support member. The medical support assembly further includes a mounting adapter assembly supported by an attachment bracket of the moving pallet, the mounting adapter assembly being removably mounted and configured to enable rotational movement of the support member upon a substantial impact to the support member.

Medical bag support assembly

Arrangement for taking a CT scan and a SPECT scan of a patient in a single-pass diagnostic procedure. A SPECT scanner and a CT scanner are included. The SPECT scanner is mounted on a SPECT gantry and the CT scanner is mounted on a CT gantry. The SPECT and CT gantries are moveable with respect to one another between a mated operating configuration and a separated maintenance configuration. A pair of receiving brackets is fixedly mounted on the SPECT gantry. A pair of self-locating brackets is fixedly mounted on the CT gantry. Each of the pair of self-locating brackets is configured for assuming a prescribed position relative to a respective one of the pair of receiving brackets when in snug abutment together. A floating connection interconnects the CT scanner with the pair of self-locating brackets, and in this manner float-mounts the CT scanner with the SPECT scanner and facilitates the taking of the CT scan and a SPECT scan of a patient in a single-pass diagnostic procedure.

Releasably interconnected CT and SPECT scanners

The present invention discloses a reconfigure lock for dual detector gamma camera that works with a triple race bearing. The outer race is stationary, it serves as part of the supporting frame. A detector ( ) is mounted to the center race, which is driven by an integral gear. A detector ( ) and the lock assembly are mounted to the inner race. The center and inner races rotate in unison when locked to one another.

Reconfigure lock for dual detector gamma camera

First and second scintillation camera detectors are provided and are mounted, respectively, to first and second yoke assemblies. The first yoke assembly is mounted to a ring gear which is rotatable within a vertical plane about a horizontal axis. The second yoke assembly is mounted to an annulus which is located within the ring gear and which is rotatable within the plane and about the axis. A rotating device is provided for rotating the ring gear in the plane and about the axis and a locking device is also provided for locking the first and second yoke assemblies together, whereby the first and second yoke assemblies rotate together when they are locked together and the first yoke assembly is being rotated by the rotating device. Advantageously, each detector is pivotally secured to its corresponding yoke assembly and each of the detectors is radially movable towards and away from the axis of the gantry. Further advantageously, the entire gantry is laterally moveable.

Versatile reconfigurable gantry for use in scintillation camera systems

A gantry for a multi-head scintillation camera including a pair of vertically disposed annular plates between which are mounted the scintillation camera heads. The plates are supported on their peripheral edges by rollers which both provide load bearing support and allow plate rotation. A pulley is mounted on one of the plates and is belt-driven by a motor.
