Disclosed herein are related to a system, a method, and a non-transitory computer readable medium for simulating, predicting, or estimating, based on machine learning neural networks, wall stress of a body part. In one approach, a first neural network automatically detects features in multiple images of a body part. For example, the first neural network may detect, for each image, a lumen and a wall of an aorta. According to the detected features, a second neural network may simulate, estimate, or predict wall stress of the body part in response to pressure applied to the body part. For example, a model generator can generate a three-dimensional model of the body part according to the detected features in the multiple images, and the second neural network can simulate, estimate, or predict wall stress of the body part according to the three-dimensional model.

A method of delivering cells to a target tissue is provided comprising depositing a hydrogel pre-gel comprising magnetic particle-loaded cells to the target tissue and, prior to or during gelation of the hydrogel, drawing the magnetic particle-loaded cells to the tissue with a magnetic field, followed by gelation of the hydrogel to lock the cells in place on the tissue. The cells may be mesenchymal stem cells, such as adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells, and the target tissue may be adventitial tissue of an aneurysm in a blood vessel. Also provided are devices useful in the method.

Magnetic delivery system and hydrogel fixative for therapeutic cells

An endovascular apparatus can comprise an array of emitters configured to emit light at a predetermined wavelength and an array of sensors configured to detect light emitted by the emitters and reflected off a surface. The device can be configured to be inserted into a stent within a blood vessel of a patient and the device can be configured to detect the location of a branch blood vessel based on the reflected light detected by the array of sensors. Some devices detect light through a stent wall from an emitter positioned in the branch vessel. Some devices include fiber optics or phototransistors for receiving light from the emitter. Some devices include a fenestration former and a guidewire director along with the light receivers all in one endovascular device.

A tubular tissue graft device is provided comprising a tubular member and a restrictive fiber matrix of a bioerodible polymer about a circumference of the tubular tissue. The matrix may be electrospun onto the tubular tissue. In one embodiment, the tubular tissue is from a vein, such as a saphenous vein, useful as an arterial graft, for example and without limitation, in a coronary artery bypass procedure. Also provided is method of preparing a tubular graft comprising depositing a fiber matrix of a bioerodible polymer about a perimeter of a tubular tissue to produce a tubular tissue graft device. A cardiac bypass method comprising bypassing a coronary artery with a tubular tissue graft device comprising a vein and a restrictive fiber matrix of a bioerodible polymer about a circumference of the vein also is provided.

Bioerodible wraps and uses therefor

Provided herein is a drug delivery device and composition, such as a particle, comprising conditioned medium. Also provided herein is a method of preparing polymeric particles for release of conditioned medium. Further, a tissue growth scaffold comprising particles for release of conditioned medium is provided.

Artificial cells and delivery devices for use in tissue engineering, and related methods

A cartridge device is provided for applying a fiber matrix to a tubular member such as a saphenous vein graft. The cartridge includes a housing, a tubular member holder, a rotational drive, and a polymer delivery assembly. The housing defines a chamber which surrounds the tubular member holder. The rotational drive rotates the tubular member during the fiber application process.
