An output device that includes a housing, a first speaker driver that is integrated within the housing at a first location and is arranged to project sound into an ambient environment in a first direction, and a second speaker driver that is integrated within the housing at a second location that is different than the first location and is arranged to project sound into the ambient environment, where the first and second speaker drivers are integrated within the housing and share a common back volume within the housing.

Dual-speaker system

A method that includes determining a set of one or more reverberation parameters of an extended reality (XR) environment in which a user is to participate, determining whether an audio source device is wirelessly communicatively coupled to send audio to an audio output device, in response to determining that the audio source device is not wirelessly communicatively coupled to the audio output device obtaining a microphone signal produced by a microphone of the audio source device, producing a reverberant audio signal from the microphone signal according to the set of one or more reverberation parameters, and sending the reverberant audio signal to drive a speaker driver of the audio source device.

Own voice reverberation reconstruction

A smart speaker power controller may be configured to receive power conforming to one of a plurality of power modes from an input power source. The power controller may be further configured to communicate the power mode to at least one component of a processing system or at least one component of an audio system for operating the smart speaker according to the received power mode, including determining a current limit of a power converter; determining a shutdown voltage threshold and safely shutting down the smart speaker if the input voltage falls below the threshold, and/or modifying audio operation of the smart speaker in response to the power mode. The smart speaker can further include an audio power supply controller configured to monitor energy required to reproduce an audio signal and to servo a power supply voltage provided to an audio amplifier in response to this energy level.

Smart speaker power management

A power mitigation algorithm in a loudspeaker amplification system that includes a loudspeaker driver, an audio amplifier, and a constant output power, power supply. A power requirement for the amplifier to output an audio signal is determined. A gain adjustment signal is then determined based on a difference between the power requirement and a power budget of the amplifier. Gain of the audio signal is adjusted according to the gain adjustment signal, for output through the loudspeaker driver. As a result, a peak level of the power consumption of the amplifier while outputting the gain-adjusted audio signal becomes less than the power budget. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

Power mitigation for loudspeaker amplifiers

A coil assembly is coupled to a diaphragm. The coil assembly has a number of coils that are fixed in a stacked, end to end manner along a length axis. The coils include a middle coil, a several upper coils and several lower coils. Each coil has a respective pair of coil terminals so that it can be independently driven by an audio signal. The coil assembly as a whole is overhung, while each of constituent coils is underhung so that there are at least two adjacent coils that are completely within the magnetic gap, and at least two other coils that are completely outside the magnetic gap, during a majority of the full excursion of the coil assembly. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.
