A ram air turbine may include an output shaft, a first turbine blade set configured to rotate in a first direction, and a second turbine blade set configured to counter-rotate with respect to the first turbine blade set. The rotation of the first turbine blade set and the counter-rotation of the second turbine blade set drives the output shaft.

Ram air turbine

A fluid accelerator including an outer housing having an inlet end and an outlet end, the outer housing defining a converging nozzle proximate the inlet end. The fluid accelerator may also include an annular ring disposed proximate the inlet end of the outer housing within the converging nozzle, wherein the annular ring has an airfoil cross-sectional shape.

A turbine wheel may include an inner hub having a central axis, an outer ring concentric with the inner hub, and an intermediate ring concentrically disposed between the inner hub and the outer ring, and a plurality of turbine blades extending between the intermediate ring and the outer ring. The turbine blades may be oriented to be driven by a fluid stream flowing through the turbine wheel to rotate the turbine wheel in a first direction about the central axis. In addition, the turbine wheel may further include a plurality of compressor blades extending between the inner hub and the intermediate ring. Also, the compressor blades may be oriented to propel a fluid in a downstream direction when the turbine wheel is rotated in the first direction.

Various embodiments of an airfoil and machines with airfoils are disclosed. The airfoils include a thicker leading airfoil portion and a thinner trailing airfoil portion. In one embodiment, the leading airfoil portion is formed by bending a body of the airfoil back toward itself. In another embodiment, the leading airfoil portion has a solid geometry and includes two elliptic surfaces. To prevent detachment of airflow, the leading airfoil portion includes at least two arc portions or surfaces that act to direct the airflow down to the trailing airfoil portion in a manner that stabilizes vortexes that may form in the region of changing thickness.

A balance board, including: an upper plate having a top surface configured for a user to stand on; a base assembly configured to contact the ground; a center assembly pivotally connecting the upper plate with the base assembly; and an adjustable tilt system comprising at least a first adjustable angle stop configured to be rotated at adjustable intervals to change a maximum angle by which the upper plate may be tilted relative to the base assembly. The base assembly may include a first plurality of teeth. In addition, the first adjustable angle stop may include a second plurality of teeth configured to interface with the first plurality of teeth of the base assembly to provide fixation of the first adjustable angle stop at the adjustable intervals.

A balance board may include an upper plate having a top surface configured for a user to stand on; a base assembly configured to contact the ground; a center assembly pivotally connecting the upper plate with the base assembly; and an adjustable tilt system comprising at least a first adjustable angle stop configured to be rotated at adjustable intervals to change a maximum angle by which the upper plate may be tilted relative to the base assembly.

A golf club head for a driver is disclosed. The golf club head includes a face portion and a rearward end portion. An upward facing surface in a crown portion of the golf club head curves up towards the rearward end portion to keep airflow from separating from the crown portion. A downward facing surface on a sole portion of the golf club includes an airfoil that helps keep air stuck to the sole portion of the golf club head. The airfoil portion extends across a substantial entirety of the width of the golf club head.

A balance board may include an upper plate having a top surface; a base configured to contact the ground; and a center assembly pivotally connecting the upper plate with the base, the center assembly including a top pivot including a first multi-axial joint set at least partially within the upper plate and a lower pivot including a second multi-axial joint disposed proximate the upper plate. The first multi-axial joint may be a first ball and socket joint; the second multi-axial joint may be a second ball and socket joint; and the first ball and socket joint may be disposed at least partially within the second ball and socket joint. In addition, the balance board may further include an adjustable angle stop system comprising at least one adjustable angle stop movable at adjustable intervals to change a maximum angle by which the upper plate may be pivoted.

A clip for attachment as an edge. The clip having two symmetric sides, each side composed of five arcs. A first arc of the side starting at the midpoint of the nose having a radius of 0.2476 inches and an arc length of 0.22395 inches. A second arc connected to the first arc having a radius of 0.5832 inches and an arc length of 0.0947 inches. A third arc connected to the second arc having a radius of 0.4636 inches and an arc length of 0.1682 inches. A fourth arc connected to the third arc having a radius of 0.3822 inches and an arc length of 0.2263 inches. A fifth arc connected to the fourth arc having an arc having a radius of 0.3291 inches and an arc length of 0.1917 inches. The fifth arc of each side forming the slot end on the clip.

A golf club head for a driver is disclosed. The golf club head includes a face portion and a rearward end portion. An upward facing surface in a crown portion of the golf club head curves up towards the rearward end portion to keep airflow from separating from the crown portion. A downward facing surface on a sole portion of the golf club includes an airfoil that helps keep air stuck to the sole portion of the golf club head. The airfoil portion extends from a toe portion to a heel portion of the golf club head to help maintain smooth airflow across the entirety of the golf club head during a swing.

A wind turbine having at least two blades mounted to a blade retainer and a load shaft connected to the blade retainer, such that movement of the blades due to wind causes rotation of the load shaft. The wind turbine includes a frame assembly surrounding the turbine assembly. The frame assembly includes a plurality of vanes to direct wind inside the frame assembly and towards the blades of the turbine assembly. The vanes have a half circle shaped leading edge pointing to an outside perimeter of the frame assembly. The half circle leading edge has two ends and the vanes have a side extending from each of the ends of the half circle that come together to form a trailing edge.

Proprioceptive neuromuscular training device for exercisers that improves balance and coordination throughout the kinetic chain. Comprised of a center assembly containing two pivots connecting a top surface to a bottom surface. A top pivot is set within the top surface, a lower pivot is set medial the top surface and the base surface. Both pivots combined eliminate multiaxial deviation creating appropriate musculoskeletal responses. There are slide and lock assemblies with multiple locking points mounted to the base surface. The slide and lock assembly is comprised of an adjustable angle stop containing a protrusion that locks into a groove to either restrict or increase the multiaxial motion of the top surface based on positioning relative to the center assembly.
