Tin oxide having high mobility and a low electron concentration, and methods for producing layers of the tin oxide layers on a substrate by atmospheric pressure chemical vapor deposition (APCVD) are disclosed. The tin oxide may undoped polycrystalline n-type tin oxide or it may be doped polycrystalline p-type tin oxide. When the layer of tin oxide is formed on a crystalline substrate, substantially crystalline tin oxide is formed. Dopant precursors for producing doped p-type tin oxide are also disclosed.

A composition for coating glass by chemical-vapor deposition comprises a mixture of a tin oxide precursor monobutyltin trichloride, a silicon dioxide precursor tetraethylorthosilicate, and an accelerant such as triethyl phosphite; the composition is gaseous below 200&#xb0; C., and permits coating glass having a temperature from 450&#xb0; to 650&#xb0; C. at deposition rates higher than 350 &#x212b;/sec. The layer of material deposited can be combined with other layers to produce an article with specific properties such as controlled emissivity, refractive index, abrasion resistance, or appearance.

Method of preparing a tin oxide layer

A solar-control glass that has acceptable visible light transmission, absorbs near infrared wavelength light (NIR) and reflects midrange infrared light (low emissivity mid IR) along with a preselected color within the visible light spectrum for reflected light is provided. Also provided is a method of producing the improved, coated, solar-controlled glass. The improved glass has a solar energy (NIR) absorbing layer comprising tin oxide having a dopant such as antimony and a low emissivity control layer (low emissivity) capable of reflecting midrange infrared light and comprising tin oxide having fluorine and/or phosphorus dopant. A separate iridescence color suppressing layer as described in the prior art is generally not needed to achieve a neutral (colorless) appearance for the coated glass, however an iridescence suppressing layer or other layers may be combined with the two layer assemblage provided by the present invention. If desired, multiple solar control and/or multiple low emissivity layers can be utilized. The NIR layer and the low emissivity layer can be separate portions of a single tin oxide film since both layers are composed of doped tin oxide. A method of producing the coated solar control glass is also provided.

A garment hanger bracket has an eyelet member and a hook member integrally connected thereto. The eyelet member has an eyelet for receiving thereinto the base and hook portions of an automotive garment hanger. The hook member has an over-sized J-shape configuration. The rear surface of the eyelet member is flat and covered by a backing composed of a foam layer covered by a protective covering, such as mylar, which serves to protect the foam layer from wear. A foam insert is provided within the eyelet of the eyelet member, and is bonded to the foam layer. The foam insert is pivotable with respect to a basal edge portion of the eyelet by the backing being cut along the edge of the eyelet everywhere except the basal edge portion. Alternatively, the foam insert and the backing have a slot-shaped cut-out for snugly receiving an automotive garment hanger.
