A device for electrically controlled of ions, comprises a first electrolyte; a first electrode, which is arranged in direct or indirect contact with the first electrolyte, an encapsulation; and an ion conductor, which is arranged to receive and/or deliver ions from/to the first electrolyte. The encapsulation is arranged to effectively enclose the first electrolyte, and the ion conductor is arranged to transport ions from/to an outside of the encapsulation.

Electrochemical device manufacturing

There is provided a display device, which is arranged to display a predetermined fixed image, having a pixel electrode layer comprising a plurality of pixel portions, and opaque solidified electrolyte arranged in a plurality of separated segments in ionic contact with a respective pixel portion, wherein each electrolyte segment and respective pixel portion form a pixel element. The fixed image display further comprises at least one continuous electrode layer extending across at least two rows and two columns of the pixel matrix, and is connected to the electrolyte segments of a subset of the pixel elements. Upon application of an electric potential difference between the patterned electrode layer and the pixel electrode layer, the pixel portions of the subset of the pixel elements switch color.

Fixed image display device and method of manufacturing the same

An embodiment of the present invention relates to electrochemical devices including an electrochemically active layer having the ability of electrochemically altering its redox state. By providing a portion of an electrode of corrosion resistant material between an electrolyte and an electrochemically active layer, undesired discoloration due to the electrochemical reaction of an electrochemical device is reduced.

Electrochemical device

A device for electrically controlled transport of ions between a source and a target electrolyte, including: a first source electrode and a first target electrode, each capable of conducting ions and electrons, wherein the source electrode is arranged to receive ions from the source electrolyte and the target electrode is arranged to release ions to the target electrolyte.

A device is disclosed for electrically controlled transport of ions between a source and a target electrolyte, including a source electrode and a target electrode. The electrodes are each capable of conducting ions, and the source electrode is arranged to receive ions from the source electrolyte and the target electrode is arranged to release ions to the target electrolyte. The device further includes an ion-conductive channel, arranged to receive ions from the source electrode and to release ions to the target electrode. Moreover, the ion-conductive channel is arranged to provide an ionic connection between the source and the target electrodes. The electrodes and the ion-conductive channel are formed of solid or semi-solid materials which are directly or indirectly attached to a support. A device for integrating and indicating a parameter over, comprising: a first electrode (), a second electrode (), an electrolyte (), which is in contact with the first electrode and in consuming contact with a consumption portion () of the second electrode, at least two indicators (I, I, I), which are connected to the consumption portion () at a respective connecting point (P, P, P). Device for integrating and indicating a parameter over time

A device for determining a parameter history indication of at least one external parameter includes, in at least one embodiment, a first electrode portion, in consuming contact with a first electrolyte, and a second electrode portion, in consuming contact with a second electrolyte. Device, kit and method for monitoring a parameter history

A circuitry for differential amplifying, logical inversion, NAND and/or NOR operations is provided, which includes at least one depletion mode transistor having JFET characteristics. A method for determining the properties of an electrochemical circuitry is provided, including at least one semi-finished transistor, by applying a solidified electrolyte to selected sets of electrochemically active transistor elements is also provided.

Circuitry and method

Methods of producing electrochemical transistor devices are provided, wherein a solidified electrolyte is arranged in direct contact with at least a portion of an organic material having the ability to electrochemically altering its electrical conductivity through change of redox state thereof, such that a current between a source contact and a drain contact of the transistor is controllable by way of a voltage applied to a gate electrode. Electrochemical device and methods for producing the same

The present invention provides an electrochemical timer device () having a source () and a drain () contact. The device further comprises a switch channel () and a delay reservoir () that are electrochemically interconnected with a gate electrode (). The switch channel () interconnects the source () and drain () contacts and is arranged to change electrical conductivity upon electrochemistry therein, and an electrochemical reaction is arranged to occur in the gate electrode () and delay reservoir () upon application of a drive voltage there between. The delay reservoir () is arranged such that the electrochemical reaction occurring therein gradually moves towards the switch channel () and eventually reaches the switch channel () after a delay time thereby changing the electrical conductivity of the switch channel ().

Timer switch

Methods of producing electrochemical transistor devices are provided, wherein a solidified electrolyte is arranged in direct contact with at least a portion of an organic material having the ability to electrochemically altering its electrical conductivity through change of redox state thereof, such that a current between a source contact and a drain contact of the transistor is controllable by a voltage applied to a gate electrode. A electrochemical transistor device is also provided, wherein an ion isolative material is provided between a solidified electrolyte and an organic material having the ability to electrochemically altering its redox state, such that a transistor channel of said transistor is defined thereby.

Electrochemical device including a channel of an organic material, a gate electrode, and an electrolyte therebetween

An electrochromic device is disclosed, including two electrochromic elements, which are switched in a time separated manner. Each electrochromic element is arranged of electrochemically active material, and connected to a counter layer by a solidified electrolyte. In at least one embodiment, the electrochromic device further includes at least one resistive device which restricts the electrochemical reaction of one of the electrochromic element, such that a color of this electrochromic element is not substantially altered until the other electrochromic element is reacted to a predetermined extent.

Electrochromic device

An electrochemical transistor device is provided, comprising a source contact, a drain contact, at least one gate electrode, an electrochemically active element arranged between, and in direct electrical contact with, the source and drain contacts, which electrochemically active element comprises a transistor channel and is of a material comprising an organic material having the ability of electrochemically altering its conductivity through change of redox state thereof, and a solidified electrolyte in direct electrical contact with the electrochemically active element and said at least one gate electrode and interposed between them in such a way that electron flow between the electrochemically active element and said gate electrode(s) is prevented. In the device, flow of electrons between source contact and drain contact is controllable by means of a voltage applied to said gate electrode(s). Also provided are circuits incorporating such electrochemical transistor devices and processes for the production of such devices.
