Herbicidal compositions for reducing off-site movement or drift of herbicides are described. The herbicidal compositions can include an auxin herbicide, an oil or an ester of the oil, and a polymeric emulsifying agent, such as glycerol ethoxylate-polyricinoleate, glycerol ethoxylate-poly-(12-hydroxystearate), polyethylene glycol (PEG)-polyricinoleate, PEG-poly-(12-hydroxystearate), and a combination thereof. Methods of making such compositions and methods of making such polymeric emulsifying agents are also described.

Herbicidal compositions including drift retardant agents and methods of making the same

Herbicidal compositions for reducing off-site movement or drift of herbicides are described. The herbicidal compositions can include a drift retardant agent (DRA) along with at least one auxin herbicide and an emulsifying agent, such as an alkylpolysaccharide, a phosphate ester, an alkoxylated castor oil, or a combination thereof. Methods of making such composition are also described.

The invention provides novel compositions and methods for liquid-mediated delivery of pollen to a female reproductive part of a recipient plant. The pollen suspension solutions provided include a surfactant, an oil, a solute, or an aqueous solution, and about 2% to about 20% pollen by weight. The methods provided include producing a liquid pollen suspension solution comprising pollen from a donor plant and spraying the solution onto at least a first female reproductive part of a recipient plant, thereby pollinating the female reproductive part with the pollen from the donor plant.

The present invention relates to esters of carboxylic acid agrochemicals comprising a labile protecting group and having formula (I). Reforming alcohol is disclosed. Alcohol is introduced into a conduit of an alcohol reformer so that the alcohol flows through a catalyst stage within the conduit. The catalyst stage includes an alcohol reforming catalyst, and a heat transfer member comprising thermally conductive material. The heat transfer member is in thermal contact with the conduit and the alcohol reforming catalyst. Simultaneously, exhaust gas is introduced from an internal combustion engine into an exhaust channel. The exhaust gas in the exhaust channel contacts fins extending outward from the conduit so that heat from the exhaust gas is transferred through the fins, the conduit, and the heat transfer member to the alcohol reforming catalyst.

An alcohol reforming system for an internal combustion engine includes a reformer in selective fluid communication with a fuel line via a reformer inlet line for receiving liquid fuel from the fuel line. The reformer reforms the alcohol in the alcohol-gasoline mixture of the fuel into a reformate mixture comprising hydrogen gas and gasoline. A buffer tank in fluid communication with the reformer receives the reformate mixture and disengages the hydrogen gas from the gasoline in the reformate mixture. The buffer tank includes a liquid fuel outlet in fluid communication with the fuel line for re-introducing the gasoline as a liquid into the fuel line, and a reformate gas outlet for delivering the reformate gas to a reformate line through which the reformate gas is delivered to the engine.
