Hydrogenation catalysts for aromatic hydrogenation including an organosilica material support, which is a polymer comprising independent units of a monomer of Formula [ZOZOSiCH](I), wherein each Zand Zindependently represent a hydrogen atom, a C-Calkyl group or a bond to a silicon atom of another monomer; and at least one catalyst metal are provided herein. Methods of making the hydrogenation catalysts and processes of using, e.g., aromatic hydrogenation, the hydrogenation catalyst are also provided herein.

Aromatic hydrogenation catalysts and uses thereof

Provided herein are compositions and methods for use of an organosilica material comprising a copolymer of at least one monomer of Formula [RRSiCH](I), wherein, Rrepresents a C-Calkoxy group; and Ris a C-Calkoxy group or a C-Calkyl group; and at least one other monomer of Formula [(ZO)ZSi&#x2014;Z&#x2014;SZ] (II), wherein, Zrepresents a hydrolysable functional group; Zrepresents a C-Calkyl or aryl group; Zrepresents a C-Ccyclic or linear hydrocarbon; Zis either H or OH; and x represents any one of integers 1, 2, and 3. The composition may be used as a support material to covalently attach transition metal cations, as a sorbent for olefin/paraffin separations, as a catalyst support for hydrogenation reactions, as a precursor for highly dispersed metal nanoparticles, or as a polar sorbent for crude feeds.

Sulfur terminated organosilica materials and uses thereof

Methods of preparing organosilica materials, which are a polymer comprising of at least one independent cyclic polyurea monomer of Formula wherein each Ris a ZOZZSiZgroup, wherein each Zrepresents a hydrogen atom, a C-Calkyl group, or a bond to a silicon atom of another monomer unit; each Zand Zindependently represent a hydroxyl group, a C-Calkyl group, a C-Calkoxy group or an oxygen atom bonded to a silicon atom of another monomer unit; and each Zrepresents a C-Calkylene group bonded to a nitrogen atom of the cyclic polyurea are provided herein. Methods of preparing and processes of using the organosilica materials, e.g., for gas separation, color removal, etc., are also provided herein.

Organosilica materials and uses thereof

A Zn--Cu based alloy is disclosed including from about 11 to about 50 wt. % of Cu, from about 0.1 to about 10 wt. % of Al, from about 0.01 to about 1.0 wt. % of Mg, and from about 0.001 to about 0.1 wt. % of at least one member of the group consisting of Ti, Pb, Sn, Cd, Ni, Mn, Cr, Fe and mixtures thereof; and the balance being Zn. The Ti component may be added via an Al--Ti alloy. This alloy yields high-part-number castings especially useful in the automotive parts field.
