A motor stator mounting device includes a plastic motor housing having a cylindrical housing section for receiving the stator. Longitudinal ribs along an inside surface of the housing section are inclined to converge gradually in a distal direction, thus tending to center a stator inserted distally into the housing section. An annular stator retaining member includes a plurality of distally extending centering features. Outside surfaces of the centering features interact with an interior surface of the housing section to center the retaining member as it is inserted distally. Inside surfaces of the centering features interact with a proximal region of a previously inserted stator, such that distal insertion of the retaining member both axially positions and radially centers the stator relative to the cylindrical housing. The retaining member is secured to the housing with a series of sonic welds to positionally fix the stator inside the housing.

Device and method for mounting electric motor stators

An air impeller with both sound attenuation and vibration isolation means in a compact assembly. Three muffler chambers are provided preceding the inlet to the impeller each with sound absorbing foam material and vibration isolators are provided at both inlet and discharge sides of the impeller.

Blower muffler and vibration isolation

The air outlet is formed as a plurality of openings. A scroll ( ) is located within the housing and has walls formed with an intake opening ( ) and an exhaust port ( ). The exterior surface and the walls define a cavity ( ). The cavity has a first portion and a second portion. The first portion is in communication between the exhaust port and the air outlet. A fan ( ) is positioned within the intake opening for drawing air in through the air inlet to pass through the scroll and the first portion of the cavity to be expelled through the air outlet while the second portion of the cavity is under a positive pressure. A filter assembly ( ) is assembled within the housing between the air inlet and the fan. The device can include a second filter assembly.

Air purifier

An axial flow fan comprises a hub rotatable on a central axis and a plurality of radial blades extending from the hub, each having a root portion adjacent the hub and each having tip portion space radially from the hub and surrounded by an annular band. The root portions are substantially equally spaced circumferentially at their junctions with the hub and at least some of the tip potions are substantially unevenly space circumferentially. The latter is due to the condition that blade centerlines are pivoted through unequal angles about points along the junctions between the hub and the blade root portions.
