Fluid regulators are described. An example fluid regulator described herein includes a regulator body defining a sensing chamber between an inlet and an outlet, a bonnet coupled to the regulator body, the bonnet defining a loading chamber, the loading chamber being fluidly isolated from the sensing chamber and an environment surrounding the fluid regulator, a guide disposed between the sensing chamber and the loading chamber, the guide defining a vent flow path, the vent flow path to enable the sensing chamber to vent to the environment during a failure condition of the fluid regulator, a transverse bore defined between an interior surface of the regulator body and an exterior surface of the regulator body, the transverse bore being aligned with the vent flow path to enable fluid communication between the transverse bore, the vent flow path, and the environment surrounding the fluid regulator, the exterior surface of the regulator body defining a groove that is partially defined by the transverse bore, and a filter to be disposed in the groove to cover an outlet of the transverse bore.

Regulators having an isolated loading chamber and blowout prevention apparatus

Temperature-controlled pressure regulators are described. An example temperature-controlled pressure regulator described herein includes a regulator body having a process fluid inlet fluidly coupled to a process fluid outlet via a first passageway and a heat transfer medium inlet to be fluidly coupled to a heat transfer medium outlet via a second passageway, where the heat transfer medium inlet is integrally formed with the regulator body. A heat chamber body is removably coupled to the regulator body to form a chamber between the heat transfer medium inlet and the heat transfer medium outlet. At least a portion of the first passageway is disposed within the chamber, and the chamber is to receive a heat transfer medium via the heat transfer medium inlet to provide heat to the process fluid as the process fluid flows through the chamber via the first passageway, which separates the process fluid from the heat transfer medium.

Temperature-controlled pressure regulators

Fluid regulators are described. An example regulator includes a regulator body defining a sensing chamber between an inlet and an outlet of a fluid flow passageway of the fluid regulator. A bonnet is coupled to the regulator body and defines a loading chamber disposed adjacent the sensing chamber. The loading chamber is substantially sealed relative to the sensing chamber and an environment surrounding the fluid regulator. A sensor guide is disposed between the sensing chamber and the loading chamber and has at least one seal to fluidly isolate the loading chamber from the sensing chamber. The sensor guide has a vent flow path between the sensing chamber and the loading chamber to vent the sensing chamber during a failure condition of the at least one seal.

Temperature-controlled pressure regulators are described. An example temperature-controlled pressure regulator described herein includes a regulator body having an inlet fluidly coupled to an outlet via a first passageway. A heat block is disposed within the regulator body and receives at least a portion of the first passageway. The heat block is to provide heat to the process fluid as the process fluid flows through the heat block via the first passageway, which separates the process fluid from the heat block.

The valve includes a dome shaped diaphragm clamped between a base and valve body with the base having an inlet and an outlet opening to the diaphragm and a plastic button having a concave central portion surrounded by an annular convex portion for abutting against the diaphragm to move it to a closed position against a valve seat to block fluid flow between the inlet and an outlet. In a valve open position, the button central portion abuts against the diaphragm central portion while, as the button moves to a valve closed position, the closing force is applied to the diaphragm further radial outwardly. An actuator is operable for moving a plunger against a larger diameter insert mounted in a button recess which is axially opposite the diaphragm.

Packless valve apparatus

The pressure reducing regulator includes a balanced valve arrangement, a sensor being resiliently urged toward a valve seat. A sensor insert is mounted by the sensor for axial movement therewith, the insert mounting the valve stem for movement therewtih between an open and a closed position and limited swivel movement relative thereto to form a more positive fluid seal with the valve seat. The valve stem extends through the valve seat. When the pressure decreases in the variable pressure chamber that is axially between the valve seat and the sensor, the sensor, and accordingly the valve stem is resiliently moved to its open position to allow fluid flow thereinto from the regulator inlet. A relatively weak spring and the inlet pressure in the pressure chamber act to result in the valve stem being moved to its closed position against the above mentioned resilient urging when the outlet pressure is at its desired level.

Pressure reducing regulator

A bonnet is mounted on an insert support and connected to a valve body to retain a diaphragm in fluid sealing relationship between the body and insert support. The insert support is rotatable relative to the housing of a fluid actuator while being retained in a fixed axial position relative to the housing. A plunger is extended through the insert support to abut against a button that abuts against one side of the diaphragm, the opposite side of which abuts against a valve seat subassembly that is resiliently urged to a valve open condition. The housing mounts a spindle which in turn has an eccentric lobe keyed thereto for moving the plunger toward the diaphragm so that the button flexes the diaphragm to move the seat subassembly to its valve closed position. Piston operated rack mechanism controls the rotation of the lobe for moving the plunger toward the diaphragm. Spring mechanism moves the piston in one direction while fluid under pressure applied to the actuator moves the piston in the opposite direction. The spindle and lobe may be selectively positioned in the housing so that the actuator is for a normally open valve or a normally closed valve. One of the embodiments is of a construction for fitting under a cap of a gas cylinder and replacing a manually operated control valve whereby the flow from cylinder can be controlled from a remote location.

Fluid actuated valve apparatus

A pressure regulator that includes a regulator body having a main bore that has a plurality of progressively reduced diameter bore portions in one axial direction, inlet and outlet ports and a vent passage opening to the main bore, a valve assembly resiliently retained in a closed condition to block fluid flow between the inlet and outlet ports, sensor mechanism in the main bore between a main chamber and the dome chamber of a dome threaded on the body that is axially movable by spring pressure and reference pressure applied through a reference port in the dome toward the valve assembly, and a ball connector between the sensor mechanism and valve assembly that blocks fluid flow from the main chamber to vent bores in the sensor mechanism that open to the vent passage and operates the valve assembly to an open condition when the outlet pressure is more than a preselected value above the reference pressure, permits fluid passage from the main chamber to the vent bores and the valve assembly to block flow from the inlet port to the main chamber when the outlet-reference pressure differential is below a preselected value, and to block fluid flow from the main chamber to the vent bores and permit the valve assembly to close when the outlet-reference pressure differential is a preselected value and there is no outlet pressure flow. Tungsten carbide seats are provided in each of the valve assembly and the sensor bores.
