A dust collector for use with a hand-held power tool. The dust collector includes a housing, a motor positioned in the housing, and a telescoping suction pipe coupled to the housing. The dust collector also includes a suction fan coupled to the motor and operable to generate a vacuum in the suction pipe. The dust collector further includes a dust container coupled to the housing and positioned upstream of the suction fan, and a filter at least partially arranged in the dust container. The dust collector also includes a filter cleaning mechanism including a solenoid configured to be actuated by a controller to dislodge dust from the filter when either the motor or the suction fan transitions from an active state to an inactive state.

A dust collector for use with a power tool comprises a housing, a telescoping suction pipe coupled to the housing, a suction fan positioned in the housing and operable to generate a vacuum in the suction pipe, a dust container coupled to the housing and positioned upstream of the fan, a filter at least partially arranged in the dust container, and a filter cleaning mechanism. The filter cleaning mechanism includes an anvil, a striker moveable between a first striker position, in which the striker is spaced from the anvil, and a second striker position, in which the striker is in contact with the anvil. The filter cleaning mechanism further includes an actuator moveable between a first actuator position and a second actuator position, in which the actuator is moved closer to the anvil than in the first position, and a first spring biasing the striker toward the anvil.

A track saw assembly is provided including a track saw (i.e., a circular saw) having a shoe translatable upon a track. Various mechanisms control plunging of a saw unit and saw blade of the track saw relative to the shoe. For example, a plunge lockout mechanism is provided to prevent engagement of a trigger and prevent movement of a plunge mechanism. Various mechanisms control bevel angle adjustment of the saw unit relative to the shoe. For example, a linkage is provided and is operable to shift between a first position and a second position. In the first position, a bevel angle is restricted within a first bevel angle range. In the second position, the bevel angle is restricted within an expanded second bevel angle range. Other concepts relate to the interface between the shoe and the track and a clamp which secures the track to a workpiece.

Circular saw

A rotary hammer includes a motor and a spindle coupled to the motor for receiving torque from the motor. The spindle has an adjustable rotation speed. A reciprocation mechanism is operable to create a variable pressure air spring within the spindle and includes a piston configured to reciprocate within the spindle in response to receiving torque from the motor. The piston has an adjustable reciprocation frequency. A striker is selectively reciprocable within the spindle in response to reciprocation of the piston. A first transmission is transfers torque from the motor to the spindle and a second transmission is transfers torque from the motor to the reciprocation mechanism. The reciprocation frequency of the piston is adjustable independent of the rotation speed of the spindle. The rotation speed of the spindle is adjustable independent of the reciprocation frequency of the piston. At least one of the transmissions is a multi-speed transmission.

Rotary power tool

A vibrating screed comprising a screed member, a motor, and an exciter assembly configured to vibrate the screed member in response to receiving torque from the motor via a driveshaft. The exciter assembly includes a first eccentric mass fixed on the driveshaft and a second eccentric mass axially and rotationally moveable along the driveshaft between a first position and a second position in which the second eccentric mass is axially closer to the first eccentric mass than in the first position. The vibrating screed further comprises a mode selection member to switch the exciter assembly between a first, low vibration mode, in which the second eccentric mass is in the first position, and a second, high vibration mode, in which the second eccentric mass is in the second position.

A rotary hammer includes a housing, a first motor supported by the housing and defining a first motor axis, a second motor supported by the housing and defining a second motor axis that is coaxial with the first motor axis, and a spindle coupled to the first motor for receiving torque from the first motor, causing the spindle to rotate. The rotary hammer further includes a reciprocation mechanism operable to create a variable pressure air spring within the spindle. The reciprocation mechanism includes a piston configured to reciprocate within the spindle in response to receiving torque from the second motor, a striker that is selectively reciprocable within the spindle in response to reciprocation of the piston, and an anvil that is impacted by the striker when the striker reciprocates towards the tool bit. The anvil imparts axial impacts to the tool bit.

A dust collector can be used with a hand-held power tool. The dust collector includes a housing, a telescoping suction pipe coupled to the housing, and a suction fan positioned within the housing and operable to generate a vacuum in the suction pipe. The suction pipe is configured to telescope toward and away from the housing. The suction pipe includes an outer pipe supported by the housing, and an inner pipe slidably received into the outer pipe.

A table saw includes a table, a saw unit movably coupled underneath the table, a riving knife extending through the table, and a quick-release assembly selectively coupling the riving knife to the table. The quick-release assembly includes a mounting plate coupled to the table and a clamping plate movable relative to the mounting plate between a clamping position, in which the riving knife is clamped between the mounting plate and the clamping plate to secure the riving knife to the table, and a release position, in which the riving knife is releasable from the table. The quick-release assembly further includes a pin coupled for movement with the clamping plate and a handle pivotably coupled to the pin. The pin has a cam portion engageable with the saw unit. The clamping plate is movable between the clamping position and the release position in response to pivoting movement of the handle.

Table saw

A miter saw includes a base assembly and a saw unit pivotably coupled to the base assembly. The saw unit includes a saw arm, a brushless motor supported by the saw arm, and power electronics positioned outside the motor for supplying power to the motor. The power electronics are coupled to a structural component of the miter saw to utilize the entire mass of the structural component as a heat sink to dissipate heat generated by the power electronics.

Miter saw

A rotary hammer is adapted to impart axial impacts to a tool bit. The rotary hammer includes a motor, a spindle coupled to the motor for receiving torque from the motor, and a piston at least partially received within the spindle for reciprocation therein. A crank hub is coupled to the motor for receiving torque from the motor. The crank hub defines a rotational axis and includes a socket offset from the rotational axis. A pin includes a first portion at least partially received within the socket and a second portion fixed to the piston. The first portion of the pin is both pivotable within the socket and axially displaceable relative to the socket in response to rotation of the crank hub for reciprocating the piston between a forward-most position within the spindle and a rearward-most position within the spindle.

A power tool includes an output shaft defining a rotational axis and a housing from which the output shaft protrudes. The power tool further includes a flange at least partially surrounding the output shaft, a circumferential groove defined between the housing and the flange, and a radially inward-extending slot in the flange. The power tool also includes a rotatable guard having a first radially inward-extending projection and a plurality of apertures positioned radially about the rotational axis. The first radially inward-extending projection is receivable through the radially inward-extending slot in the flange and positioned within the groove. Furthermore, the power tool includes a lever having a detent member, and a biasing member for biasing the lever toward the rotatable guard. The detent member is receivable in one of the plurality of apertures to rotationally lock the rotatable guard relative to the housing.
