Various vehicle systems are proposed for accessing and utilizing vehicle cargo spaces on vehicles equipped with a tailgate assembly. The vehicle systems may include deployable and/or rotatable stairgate systems, deployable step systems, etc. designed for the accessing the vehicle cargo spaces. The proposed systems may include various deployment mechanisms that enable the stairgate/step systems to slide, pivot, rotate, swing, and/or otherwise adjust for providing ease of access and increased flexibility when stepping up to access the vehicle cargo space.

Systems for accessing cargo spaces on vehicles equipped with a tailgate assembly

A sensor apparatus includes a cylindrical sensor window defining an axis and a ring fixed relative to the sensor window and centered around the axis. The ring includes a liquid chamber, at least one nozzle, and an air chamber. The liquid chamber is elongated circumferentially around the axis. The at least one nozzle is fluidly connected to the liquid chamber and has a direction of discharge aimed at the sensor window. The air chamber is elongated circumferentially around the axis alongside the liquid chamber. The air chamber lacks inlets and outlets.

Sensor apparatus with cleaning

A front end structure of a vehicle is disclosed and includes a housing having a fluid reservoir portion, a fan shroud portion, a back face, a bolster portion, a first air passage communicating airflow to an air intake system, and a second air passage in communication with a higher pressure airflow. A fan assembly is mounted within the fan shroud portion and a radiator mounted to the back face of the housing. A battery compartment is in communication with airflow from the second air passage for maintain battery temperature within a predefined range. A headlight also receives an airflow to actively remove moisture from an inner cavity. A method of assembling a front end structure is also disclosed.

Structural battery and headlamp cooling

A structural cooling assembly for a vehicle includes a housing defining a first pocket between a front face and a back face. The housing comprising a single integrated part including a fluid reservoir portion, a vane portion, a fan shroud portion, a bolster portion, and at least one mounting portion mountable to a frame of a vehicle. A condenser is mounted within the first pocket, a charge air cooler is mounted in a second lower packet, a fan assembly is mounted within the fan shroud portion and a radiator is mounted to the back face.

Structural cooling pack

A grille assembly for a vehicle is disclosed and includes a forward frame portion, an aft frame portion, and a plurality of spring portions coupling the forward frame portion to the aft frame portion such that the forward frame is movable relative to the aft frame portion. A front end assembly for a vehicle is also disclosed that includes a bolster assembly and an active grille shutter system supported relative to the bolster assembly. The disclosed active grille shutter system includes a plurality of spring portions coupling forward and aft frame portions such that the forward frame is movable relative to the aft frame. Vanes are supported by at least one of the forward and aft frame portions and are rotatable for controlling airflow.

This disclosure relates to a fuel or charging port door assembly of a motor vehicle. In particular, this disclosure relates to a fuel or charging port door assembly configured to permit a door to open when an override force is applied using an assist tool, for example. An example vehicle includes a door configured to move relative to a body of the vehicle between open and closed positions. The door is a fuel door or a charging port door. The vehicle also includes a lock assembly including a base and a tip. The base is configured to hold the tip during normal operating conditions, and the base and tip are configured to separate upon application of an override force to the door.

Fuel or charging port door assembly with override configuration and assist tool

A drainage system for a vehicle is disclosed herein. A drain is disposed within a vehicle substrate and has a floor. A receiver is disposed proximate to the floor. A cap feature is operably coupled to the drain and is operable between first and second positions relative to the drain. The cap feature includes an upper platform and a sidewall that extends generally downward from the upper platform. A cutout is defined by the cap feature and is configured to allow liquid to flow through the cap feature. An engagement feature is coupled to the cap feature and is operable between a disengaged position and an engaged position in which the engagement feature is engaged with the receiver. Movement of the cap feature from the first position to the second position moves the engagement feature from the disengaged position to the engaged position.

Drainage system for a vehicle

A vehicle grille assembly includes a body panel and a housing coupled to the body panel. The housing includes a front surface and a rear surface. The rear surface defines a cutout. A display assembly is disposed adjacent to the housing and aligned with the cutout. The display assembly includes a light source disposed on a circuit board and a heatsink coupled to the circuit board. The light source emits light towards the front surface of the housing. A deflector is disposed adjacent to the display assembly and includes a base and a guide wall extending vertically from the base. The deflector includes a first surface and a second surface. The deflector defines a first airflow path and a second airflow path.

Vehicle grille assembly

Methods and systems are provided for a cooling module assembly for a vehicle. In one example, the cooling module assembly includes a first set of fins arranged in a circle, configured to flow a first fluid through a first sinusoidal, continuous inner passage, and a second set of fins, also arranged in a circle and configured to flow a second fluid through a second sinusoidal, continuous inner passage. The second set of fins shares a common plane with the first set of fins and is arranged concentric about the first set of fins.

Engine cooling assembly

Methods and systems are provided for a cooling module assembly for a vehicle. In one example, the cooling module assembly includes a first set of fins configured to flow a first fluid through a first sinusoidal, continuous inner passage, and a second set of fins configured to flow a second fluid through a second sinusoidal, continuous inner passage. The second set of fins shares a common plane with the first set of fins and together forms a semi-circular structure.
