An electronic vapor provision system includes a control unit including: a battery for providing electrical power to a heater which is used to produce vapor, and a controller. The controller is configured to collect information, during user operation of the electronic vapor provision system, relating to: power consumption from the battery due to operation of the heater to produce vapor, and re-charging of the battery. The controller is further configured to maintain a model of power consumption from the battery by the electronic vapor provision system and of the timings of re-charging the battery, wherein the model is formed or updated from the collected information. The model is further configured to predict from the model whether an estimated power consumption from the battery by the electronic vapor provision system will discharge down to a threshold level of charge before an estimated next re-charging time, and if so, perform a user notification and/or mitigation action in response to the prediction.

Electronic vapor provision system

An electronic aerosol provision system includes an airflow sensor operable to measure an airflow parameter, a profile recall unit operable to recall one or more inhalation airflow profiles, a comparison processing unit operable to compare a measured airflow parameter with at least a first inhalation airflow profile while providing aerosol to a user, and a feedback unit operable to provide feedback to the user responsive to the difference between a compared measured airflow parameter and inhalation airflow profile.

There can be provided an electronic nicotine delivery 'END' device comprising: a wireless local area network “WLAN” or wireless telecommunications connectivity interface configured to establish a wireless data connection to a wireless local area network access point to provide data connectivity from the END device to a remote management service, and a charging connector configured to receive power input for recharging a power source of the END device. The END device also comprises circuitry configured to selectively activate the connectivity interface in response to expected or ongoing receipt of power via the charging connector.

The present disclosure teaches provision of a method for an aerosol provision device. The method includes operating a wireless communication interface of the aerosol provision device in a listening mode. During operation of the listening mode, data is received data from the wireless communication interface of another aerosol provision device. The received data is stored in a memory of the aerosol provision device. A connectionless-state advertising packet that includes information relating to an identity and advertising state of the aerosol provision device is created using the wireless communication interface of the aerosol provision device and transmitted via the wireless communication interface. A connectionless-state request packet is received from a remote wireless device, via the wireless communication interface. In response to receiving the request packet, a connectionless-state response packet is created using the wireless communication interface and the response packet is transmitted via the wireless communication interface. At least one of the advertising packet and the response packet includes the received data from the memory and data generated by the aerosol provision device and stored in the memory.

Data capture across devices

A connectivity dongle for providing connectivity between an aerosol delivery device and a management service. The connectivity dongle comprises a wireless connectivity interface configured to establish a wireless data connection to an aerosol delivery device to receive data from the aerosol delivery device; and a data connectivity interface configured to establish a network connection to the management service and to pass data received from a connected aerosol delivery device to the management service via the network connection. In some embodiments, each aerosol delivery device may comprise an electronic nicotine delivery 'END' device.
