A single use delivery device is disclosed having a manually deformable liquid container defining an inner chamber, the container having a distal end, a body, a proximal end, and an outlet on the distal end; a tip projecting from the outlet on the distal end of the container, the tip in fluid communication with the inner chamber of the container; a primer element for removing one or more air bubbles from the chamber, said primer element being attached to and in fluid communication with the deformable container, the container, the tip and the primer element being collapsible to minimize dead space in the delivery device; and two or more one-way valves. A method of administering a fluid to or flushing a vascular access device using a single use pre-filled delivery device as described herein is also disclosed.

Single use delivery device having a primer element

A single use pre-filled delivery device is disclosed having a deformable container including a side wall having an inside surface defining a chamber for retaining fluid, a clip element, and a locking element. The deformable container further includes a closed proximal end and an open distal end including a male luer tip having a passageway therethrough providing fluid communication with the chamber. The male luer tip may be removably connectable to a female luer connection of a vascular access device. The clip element includes a distal end, proximal end, and a pivot located between the distal end and the proximal end of the clip element for collapsing the deformable container to drive fluid out of the chamber by movement of the proximal end towards the distal end. The pivot may be a hinge, which may be in the form of a living hinge. The deformable container may be attached to the clip element. The locking element may be disposed on the clip element. A method of administering a fluid to a vascular access device using a single use pre-filled delivery device as described herein is also disclosed.

Clip syringe

A syringe assembly includes a syringe barrel having a first end, a second end, and a sidewall extending between the first end and the second end. The syringe assembly further includes a stopper disposed within a chamber of the syringe barrel, a plunger adapter engaged with the stopper, and a plunger rod having first and second ends. The first end of the plunger rod is pivotally secured to the plunger adapter. The plunger rod has a pre-use position where the second end of the plunger rod is positioned adjacent to the syringe barrel, and a use position where the plunger rod is configured to displace the stopper relative to the syringe barrel. A recessed portion of the plunger adapter receives a portion of the first end of the plunger rod when the plunger rod is in the pre-use position and the use position.

A syringe assembly including a plunger rod having a first end, a second end, and a rod portion extending therebetween, wherein at least a portion of the rod portion is flexible is disclosed. The flexible portion of the rod portion allows a stopper to be moved between a first position and a second position within a syringe barrel while the overall length of the syringe assembly remains the same throughout the movement between the first position and the second position. In another embodiment, a syringe assembly including a restraining member adapted to communicate with the flexible portion of the rod portion such that movement of the first end of the plunger rod in a first direction actuates movement of the second end of the plunger rod in a second direction different than the first direction is disclosed.

The table for performing breast biopsies is characterized by features that enhance patient comfort and facilitate performance of the biopsy. An opening in the table allowing the breast to extend below the table top is formed in a removable insert. An area of the insert includes padding. An alternate insert, having a different diameter opening may be selected based on patient breast size. Another insert having an asymmetrical opening may accommodate the patient's arm when it is desirable to position both the arm and breast of the patient below the table top. The table top is contoured such that symmetrical distal end sections are elevated relative to a central section to support the patient in multiple positions. A removable pad may be placed over the insert. An end portion for padding the hip of the patient is thicker than an end portion for padding the head/neck of the patient.

A single use pre-filled delivery device is disclosed having a deformable container including a side wall having an inside surface defining a chamber for retaining fluid, a clip element, and a locking element. The first and second plunger arms each have a pre-use position where the plunger arms are spaced from each other, and a use position where the plunger arms are positioned adjacent to each other and configured to displace the stopper relative to the syringe barrel. The recessed portion of the plunger adapter receives a portion of a first end of a plunger rod when the first and second plunger arms are in the pre-use position and the use position.

A syringe assembly having an exterior surface and defining a chamber having a stopper disposed therein is disclosed. The syringe assembly includes a plunger assembly having an elongated plunger rod and a handle portion connected thereto, the plunger rod including a depending leg and at least one hinge connecting the depending leg with the handle portion. The plunger rod is adapted to transition from a collapsed position, in which at least a portion of the depending leg extends along at least a portion of the exterior surface of a syringe barrel, to an extended position in which at least a portion of the depending leg engages the stopper. The at least one hinge maintains the depending leg substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis of the syringe barrel in both the collapsed position and the extended position.
