The invention described herein generally pertains to batteries for a welding operation having insulating structure thereabout. Particularly, various welding batteries can be provided one one or more battery wraps that can be opened or closed to increase or decrease the insulating effect thereof. In some embodiments, battery wraps can be integrated with batteries used in hybrid welders.

Battery wrap

An engine driven welding machine that includes a frame with lower tubular portions that extend across the ends of the frame. The lower tubular portions make it easier to lift the engine driven welding machine onto an elevated surface, such as the bed of a truck. The frame may include two different lifting portions that extend across the same side or end of the frame at different levels. For example, two tubular portions of the frame may extend generally horizontally across the same side or end of the frame to provide two lifting areas at different levels of the frame.

An enclosure for an electrical receptacle includes walls having one or more recesses for receiving associated electrical conductors. The recesses may be covered by at least a first membrane enclosing the recess. The conductors may be manually inserted through the membrane wherein the membrane and/or the recess is self-sealing to automatically encapsulate the girth of the associated electrical conductors.
