A lever assembly and a master cylinder are provided. The lever assembly includes a lever and an adjuster mechanism that changes the mechanical advantage of the lever. The reach of the lever relative to a handlebar can be adjusted. Both the mechanical advantage and reach of the lever can be adjusted without tools and while a vehicle including the same is operated. The master cylinder includes a reservoir in a clamp area. A reservoir bladder fits into the reservoir. A cover encloses the bladder and includes a vent opening making the bladder at atmospheric pressure such that air can move into the bladder and out of the bladder. The master cylinder can be bled without reorienting the master cylinder. A method of adjusting a mechanical advantage of a lever and a method of bleeding a braking system without reorienting the master cylinder are also provided.

A disc brake rotor comprises an internally disposed splined surface defining a circular opening and including one or more axially disposed internal splines that are adapted to be received on external splines of a splined structure of a wheel hub, the surface including a non-continuity such as a cut-away portion of the surface into which independent splines are selectively actuable to align with the internal splines as a part of the surface to allow the rotor to be connected to or released from the hub without using any tools or the like. Preferably, the independent splines are finger actuable, and provide through a workpiece comprising a locking hammer of locking foot.

A quick mount disk brake rotor is configured for use with a splined hub of a bicycle or the like. The rotor includes a splined rotor carrier that slides over the splined hub and a rub area positioned outwardly from the rotor carrier. The rotor carrier also includes slots which are alignable with a receptacle such as a groove on the hub. A retainer clip is biased through the slots in the rotor carrier and into the groove in the hub to axially lock the rotor to the hub. The clip includes a pair of outwardly extending ends that can be squeezed together to drive the clip out of the groove on the hub against the inherent bias of the clip to enable the rotor to be removed from the hub in a quick and simple manner. The result is a biased retaining member is disengageable from the brake rotor carrier so as to move brake rotor carrier from frictional contact with the retained brake hub by tool-free compression of the biased retaining member.
