A driver monitoring system according to an example of the present disclosure includes a camera configured to record images of a driver within a cabin of a vehicle. At least one vehicle sensor is configured to detect an anomalous driving event of the vehicle based on predefined criteria. A controller is in communication with the camera and the at least one vehicle sensor. The controller is configured to, based on the detection, obtain a particular image taken by the camera that depicts the driver during the anomalous event. The controller is configured to transmit the particular image to a fleet manager, store the particular image in a local repository of anomalous driving images, or both.

Mobile device usage monitoring for commercial vehicle fleet management

A camera monitoring system has a trailer with trailer components that are responsive to at least one control signal and a wiring harness that is in communication with the trailer components and has a connector that communicates with a tractor. The wiring harness carries the at least one control signal to the trailer components. A sensor is provided on the trailer and generates a sensor signal. A processor is interconnected between the sensor and the wiring harness. The processor transforms the sensor signal for transmission over the wiring harness with the at least one control signal using common wires within the wiring harness. A filter is interconnected between the processor and at least one of the trailer components to filter noise from the at least one control signal.

Trailer camera communications system

A constellation of many satellites provide communication between devices such as user terminals (UTs) and ground stations that are connected to other networks, such as the Internet. A constellation management system (CMS) facilitates management and operation of the satellites in the constellation and facilitates information exchange with other authorized systems to provide for situationally aware operation. The CMS may ingest data such as satellite telemetry, space weather data, object ephemeris data about other orbital objects, and so forth. The CMS uses the ingested data to automatically operate satellites to perform routine activities such as station keeping maneuvers, maintenance activities, interference mitigation, and so forth. Confirmation from a human operator may be obtained before performing some activities. Activities may be planned and coordinated to minimize resource consumption for the individual satellite as well as the constellation. Output, such as ephemeris data, may be provided to other parties as well.

System to manage constellation of satellites

A HVAC thermal conditioning system provides a macroclimate environment. An auxiliary thermal conditioning system has multiple microclimate devices in close proximity to a region of the occupant. The microclimate devices are arranged within an interior space that provides the macroclimate environment to an occupant. A controller communicates with the microclimate devices and calculates an occupant personal comfort based upon a thermal energy experienced by the occupant from thermal radiation sources, thermal convection sources, and thermal conduction sources, and to automatically command the microclimate devices in response to the calculated occupant personal comfort to achieve a desired occupant personal comfort. The automatic command adjusts and apportions the thermal conduction sources and/or thermal radiation sources to achieve the desired occupant personal comfort. A power management module adjusts the HVAC thermal conditioning system while adjusting and apportioning the thermal conduction sources and/or thermal radiation sources to achieve the desired occupant personal comfort.

Vehicle microclimate system and method of controlling same

A HVAC thermal conditioning system provides a macroclimate environment. An auxiliary thermal conditioning system has multiple microclimate devices. The microclimate devices are configured to be arranged within an interior space that provides the macroclimate environment to an occupant. The microclimate devices provide a microclimate environment to the occupant different than the macroclimate environment. The microclimate devices are in close proximity to a region of the occupant. A controller calculates an occupant personal comfort based upon a thermal energy experienced by the occupant from thermal radiation sources, thermal convection sources, and thermal conduction sources, and to automatically command the microclimate devices in response to the calculated occupant personal comfort based upon occupant characteristics to achieve a desired occupant personal comfort. The automatic command is to adjust and apportion the thermal conduction sources and/or thermal radiation sources experienced by the occupant to achieve the desired occupant personal comfort.

A recording system for a vehicle according to an example of the present disclosure includes proximity sensors configured to obtain data indicative of a distance between a vehicle and external objects and at least one vehicle operation sensor configured to obtain data indicative of how a driver is operating the vehicle. A controller is configured to obtain input data for a current monitoring period that includes data from the plurality of proximity sensors and the at least one vehicle operation sensor; utilize a predictive engine to determine whether the input data fulfills a criteria set corresponding to a potential impending vehicle incident; based on the input data fulfilling the criteria set commence saving of the input data from the current monitoring period and subsequent monitoring periods in a data set; and based on the input data not fulfilling the criteria set delete the input data for the current monitoring period.

Vehicle recording system utilizing event detection

An example method includes detecting a potential threat to a vehicle that is external to the vehicle, determining a severity level of the potential threat and a location of the potential threat relative to the vehicle, and displaying an indication of the potential threat on an electronic display in a particular portion of the electronic display corresponding to the location and with a particular display attribute corresponding to the severity level. The particular portion is one of a plurality of different portions of the electronic display each corresponding to different threat locations, and the particular display attribute is one of a plurality of different display attributes corresponding to different severity levels. A corresponding system that detects and displays notifications of potential threats is also disclosed.

System and method for notifying a vehicle occupant about a severity and location of potential vehicle threats

A driver monitoring system includes at least two cameras configured to record images of a driver within a cabin of a vehicle. A first camera is disposed on a driver side of the cabin and a second camera is disposed on a passenger side of the cabin. At least one of the at least two cameras is disposed in a mirror replacement display or in a mirror replacement display location. A controller is in communication with the at least two cameras and is configured to determine a pose of the driver based on images from the at least two cameras. At least one of the images originates from at least one of the first camera and the second camera.

Features for a vapor compression system configured to cool and/or cat (i.e. thermally condition) two or more distinct climate controlled vehicle interior components via a common thermal bus are disclosed. Some embodiments employ a single compressor. Some embodiments employ multiple compressors and/or thermal buses, each servicing components located within respective interior thermal zones of a vehicle, for example a front row seat zone, second and/or third row seat zones, and/or an overhead zone and/or a trunk zone.

A vehicle microclimate system includes a microclimate device that is configured to be arranged within an interior space that provides a macroclimate environment to an occupant. The microclimate device is configured to provide a microclimate environment to the occupant. The microclimate device is configured to be in close proximity to a region of the occupant having an increased thermoreceptive response compared to other occupant regions exposed to the macroclimate environment. A controller is in communication with the microclimate device. The controller is configured to determine an occupant personal comfort and automatically command the microclimate device in response to the occupant personal comfort to achieve a desired occupant personal comfort.
