A vehicle includes a forward frame portion, a rear frame portion, and a motion control system that movably interconnects the forward frame portion and the rear frame portion. A forward acceleration of the rear frame portion resulting from a driving force imparted by a wheel supported by the rear frame portion imparts a first force onto the motion control system that counters a second force imparted on the motion control system by an acceleration of a payload supported by the forward frame portion as a result of the forward acceleration.

A vehicle includes a forward frame portion with a seat support portion. The vehicle also includes a motion control system and a rear frame portion movably interconnected to the forward frame portion by the motion control system. The motion control system, in response to a forward acceleration of the rear frame portion resulting from a driving force imparted by a wheel supported by the rear frame portion, imparts a force onto the forward frame portion that immediately accelerates the seat support portion in a forward direction.

The vehicle includes a frame member to be suspended relative to the ground. The suspension of the invention includes an arm (such as a swingarm), a slide link, and a control link. The arm having a first end and a second end; it extends between the frame generally at the first end and the ground-engaging member generally at the second end. The slide link is coupled between the frame and the arm. The slide link is rotationally fixed to the arm to rotationally move therewith. It is pivotally secured to the frame. The control link is also coupled to the frame and to the arm.

Bicycle rear suspension

A vehicle component that can include a suspension system for bicycles, electric bicycles, or electric scooters. The vehicle component can include a sliding four-bar system with a link pivotally connecting a swing arm to the front triangle and a sliding link slidably connecting the swing arm to a front triangle bottom portion. The resulting suspension system can be optimized to balance forces of generate a balance of forces between of drive and driven loads against the mass of the rider and inertia while still free for the rear wheel to trace the ground.

The present disclosure relates to terrain-tracking or vehicle suspension systems that include travel at least one of the front or the rear of the vehicle. Various embodiments include a suspension above the vehicle (upper suspension). Embodiments include a suspension or travel in at least one of t  he upper vehicle (rear and/or front), middle vehicle (rear and/or front), or below vehicle (rear and/or front). Various embodiments included a combination thereof.

Vehicle terrain-tracking systems

A tensioning device for bicycle front and rear wheel assemblies. A skewer assembly with a thumbnut is securable to the wheel assembly with a quick-release assembly. Portions of the skewer assembly are removable from the quick-release assembly by turning the thumbnut a partial turn, such as a quarter of a turn. Removal of the skewer assembly allows the front wheel to be removed. In another embodiment, the skewer assembly is able to be removed by turning the quick-release assembly by a partial turn, such as a quarter of a turn.

Bicycle tensioning device

A center of gravity (C/G) control system for a vehicle includes sensors to measure the center of gravity shift and mass shift of the human body in relation to the vehicle, a controller to determine outputs, a dynamically adjustable vehicle system, and a power supply. The sensor measures the direction and rate of shift of the center of gravity and mass shift of the human and creates a representative input signal. The controller determines the appropriate outputs in response to the relative center of gravity shift data received. The dynamically adjustable vehicle system receives the controller output and performs the expected action.
