A cleaning apparatus includes an elongated housing bounding a chamber with a motor disposed therein. A drive shaft is at least partially disposed within the chamber of the housing, the drive shaft being coupled with the motor such that during selective operation of the motor the drive shaft is rotated. A head assembly includes an elongated head housing having a head drive shaft and a brush head mounted thereon. The head assembly is adapted to be selectively coupled with the body assembly so that the body drive shaft is coupled with the head drive shaft.

A cleaning apparatus includes an elongated housing bounding a chamber with a motor disposed therein. A method and system thereof for monitoring the data transfer integrity of a wireless connection between two devices, in particular two Bluetooth-enabled transceivers. A number of data packets are transmitted from one of the two devices to the other in a first-occurring transmission. The receiving device indicates to the transmitting device whether any of the data packets were not successfully received. Any data packets that were not successfully received are retransmitted. The integrity of the wireless connection is measured, for example, by determining the number of data packets successfully transmitted in the first-occurring transmission relative to the total number of data packets transmitted and retransmitted. The measure of wireless connection integrity can be provided to a user via either a visual or audio indication, or it can be provided to another device such as a computer system, so that corrective actions can be taken if needed in order to improve the data transfer integrity of the wireless connection.

Method of indicating wireless connection integrity

A retractable connector ( ) includes a base ( ) slidably positioned within an electronic card ( ). The connector further includes an elongated channel ( ) which provides the tracking of the base member between an extended position and a retracted position along an axis. The elongated channel ( ) is comprised of a retraction profile ( ) for maintaining the base member having the connector thereon in a retracted position and an extension profile ( ) for maintaining the base member in an extended position. The extension profile within the channel includes sides or facets including guide posts that facilitate the stopping of the base member from entering into a retracted position when axial forces are initially applied such as during the mating of an external connector with retractable connector of the electronic card.

Retractable jack

The present invention is designed to have half the thickness of physical/electrical media connectors such as the RJ-11 and the RJ-45 jacks. One embodiment of the present invention is an RJ-11 or an RJ-45 jack with a reduced thickness. The thickness of the present invention permits more than one media jack to be mounted in a Type I or a Type II PCMCIA card. The slim jack can be mounted either to the PCB or to the housing of the PCMCIA cards.

Slim media jack

A retractable coaxial jack (14) includes a base (52) slidably positioned within a PC card (12) or other electrical apparatus. Projecting from the front face (89) of the base (52) is a tubular insulator (90) that encircles a conductive socket (92). The socket (92) bounds an opening (94) for receiving a contact pin (20). Also projecting from the front face (89) of the base (52) on opposing sides of the tubular insulator (90) is a conductive, outwardly extending first arm (95) and a conductive, outwardly extending second arm (96). The separate outwardly extending arms (95, 96) are desirably arranged to create a thinner coaxial jack (14) than conventional types of coaxial jacks to enable the jack to be retracted into the PC card (12). Preferably each of the retention arms (95, 96) has a curved inside face (98), an opposing curved outside face (100) and a knob (102) projecting from the outside face. The outwardly extending arms (95, 96) are desirably spaced from the tubular insulator (90) to form a gap (104). The tubular insulator (90), conductive socket (92) and outwardly extending arms (95, 96) are configured to selectively couple with a conventional coaxial connector such as a bayonet connector or BNC.

Retractable coaxial jack

A media jack includes a plate retractably positioned within an opening on a PC card or other electrical apparatus. The plate includes an elongated thin body portion having an enlarged head portion formed at the end thereof. Extending through the body portion is an aperture having a plurality of contact wires projecting therein. The aperture is configured to receive an RJ type connector so that the connector is in electrical communication the contact wires. The enlarged head portion has a front face and an opposing back face which is position below the body portion. Formed on the front face is a socket having electrical contacts received therein. The socket is configured to electrically couple with a PC card type connector. Formed on the back face of the head portion is a slot having a plurality of discrete female contacts. Each of the female contacts are in electrical communication with the contacts in the front socket by electrical lines. Positioned within the opening of the electrical apparatus below the body portion of the plate are a plurality of rigidly positioned male contacts. The female contacts on the retractable plate are configured to electrically couple with male contacts positioned in the housing when the plate is slide back into the retracted position.
