A motor vehicle door and a method for producing the motor vehicle door is disclosed having a frame plate coupled to reinforcement components and at least half of all of the reinforcement components are produced as extruded profiles which are subsequently press-formed three-dimensionally. The extruded profiles have different wall thicknesses.

Crashbox for a bumper system of a motor vehicle

A bumper arrangement for a motor vehicle having a crossmember which can be coupled to longitudinal members via crash boxes, wherein the crash boxes are arranged between the crossmember and a flange plate which is assigned to the respective crash box and which is designed to couple to a longitudinal member is provided. In this context, each crash box is assigned at least one strut which is supported both on in each case one end of the crash box pointing away from the crossmember and/or a flange plate as well as on the crossmember, wherein the at least one strut is arranged in the longitudinal extent of the crossmember between two crash boxes and has at least one predefined deformation point.

A door impact beam for a motor vehicle includes a pot-shaped member made from a metal sheet and extending over a major part of a length of the beam to define two legs and a bridge interconnecting the legs. The bridge has a central length portion which is formed with an embossment defined by a depth, with a ratio of the depth of the embossment to a height of the pot-shaped member in midsection ranging between 1:3 and 1:6. The pot-shaped member has side flanges extending transversely from lower longitudinal edges of the legs in the central length portion.

A bumper for the front or rear section of a motor vehicle includes a cross member having a shell of U shaped cross section so as to define two legs interconnected by a crosspiece, and a mounting plate joined to the shell. The mounting plate has a U shaped configuration to define a longitudinal wall and two flanged portions which extend from the wall in a direction of the shell so that passageways are formed between the legs of the shell and the flanged portions of the mounting plate. A buffer is disposed anteriorly of the cross member and constructed for a snap fit to the mounting plate, with the buffer having spring legs for acceptance in the passageways.

Bumper for a motor vehicle

A crash box for a motor vehicle includes an attachment portion which engages a longitudinal member of the motor vehicle and is secured thereto by at least one screw bolt which extends through a spacer sleeve. The spacer sleeve is securely fixed to the attachment portion and has two threaded portions of opposite pitch. Inserted from opposite sides of the spacer sleeve are tolerance compensating bolts, which are each provided with an inner rotary catch for interaction with an outer thread of the screw bolt. When the screw bolt is screwed in, the tolerance compensating bolts are thus moved apart until abutting against opposite inside wall surfaces of the longitudinal member. The screw bolt engages hereby a nut on an outside of the longitudinal member so that the attachment portion is now held without clearance on the longitudinal member by a head portion of the screw bolt and one of the tolerance compensating bolts, and by the other one of the tolerance compensating bolts and the nut.

Crash box

A motor-vehicle bumper assembly has a transverse rigid and U-shaped rail having an inner wall closely juxtaposed in a normal motor-vehicle travel direction with a frame of a motor vehicle, an outer wall spaced farther from the frame than the inner wall, and a horizontal wall extending between the inner and outer walls. Two crush cans spaced transversely apart support the rail on the motor-vehicle frame. Each can has a first U-section element extending in the direction and having an inner end fixed to the frame and an outer end fixed to the inner rail wall and a second U-section element nested with and mostly vertically offset from the respective first element and having an inner end fixed to the frame and an outer end extending past the inner rail wall. An outer mounting plate is fixed to the second-element outer end and to the outer rail wall.
