An electrical pin and sleeve device is disclosed. The pin and sleeve device incorporating one or more features to facilitate easier assembly and use. For example, the pin and sleeve device may include one or more alignment or keys between, for example, the electrical contacts and the thru holes for receiving the contacts formed in the device to prevent improper insertion of the contacts within the device. Additionally, and/or alternatively, one or more alignment or keys between components of the pin and sleeve device such as, for example, between the contact carrier and the body member to prevent improper coupling of the body member relative to the contact carrier or subsequent rotation thereof. Additionally, and/or alternatively, the pin and sleeve device may include one or more tapered or funneled surfaces for preventing wire splaying during insertion of the electrical strands into the contacts.

Pin and sleeve device with features to facilitate easier assembly

An improved mechanical interlock including one or more features to facilitate a more robust design, easier assembly, and/or enhanced capabilities. For example, the mechanical interlock may include an interlock latch operatively associated with an external handle assembly and an internal connector. The interlock latch being directly coupled to a shaft coupled to the handle assembly, thus providing an improved and more robust latching mechanism. The mechanical interlock may also include one or more keys (e.g., a Poke-Yoke feature) to facilitate easier assembly and/or to prevent human errors caused by improper assembly. The mechanical interlock may also include an integrated magnetic switch and monitoring system to ensure that accurate location of the handle assembly is known.

Mechanical interlock with enhanced features

An electrical pin and sleeve device is disclosed. The pin and sleeve device incorporating one or more features to facilitate easier assembly. For example, the pin and sleeve device may include an interrupted thread or a multi-start thread for coupling a first or main housing portion to a second or front housing portion of the device. In this manner, the outer housing can be assembled together with minimal number of turns to facilitate easier and faster assembly. Additionally, and/or alternatively, the front housing portion and the main housing portion may include a key such as, for example, a releasable lock (e.g., a spring plunger assembly) for indexing/indicating the proper rotational position of the front housing relative to the main housing to limit or prevent over-rotation. Additionally, and/or alternatively, a hollow O-ring may be positioned between the first and second housing portions.

An electrical pin and sleeve device is disclosed. The pin and sleeve device incorporating one or more features to provide improved protection (e.g., sealing) from the environment (e.g., rain, water, dust, etc.). Additionally, and/or alternatively, the pin and sleeve device may include one or more features to facilitate easier assembly and use. For example, the outer housing of the pin and sleeve device may include an inwardly extending projection defining a shelf for contacting a grommet positioned within the outer housing of the pin and sleeve device. Additionally, and/or alternatively, the pin and sleeve devices may incorporate a cable boot to provide an improved seal between the electrical cable and the clamp nut to prevent the ingress of water, dust, or the like.

Pin and sleeve devices

An electrical disconnect switch including an over-rotation protective feature to protect the load switch from damage is disclosed. The electrical disconnect switch may include an enclosure, a load switch, and a handle assembly coupled to the load switch. The disconnect switch may include a detent between the handle assembly and the load switch so that during excessive rotation or torqueing the handle assembly is permitted to decouple or break-away from the load switch to prevent excessive stress from being transferred to the load switch and thus prevent any damage to the load switch.

A linear motor system includes a coil assembly, a movable magnet assembly, and a bearing assembly coupled to facilitate movement of one of the magnet assembly and the coil assembly with respect to the other. The bearing assembly includes a single bearing rail, wherein the single bearing rail is a separate component from the coil assembly and the magnet assembly and is mounted to the magnet assembly on a major face thereof opposite the major face thereof adjacent to which the coil assembly is disposed. The single bearing rail is narrower than the coil assembly and the magnet assembly. The single bearing rail includes a profiled rail configured to hold the magnet assembly on the coil assembly while allowing the magnet assembly to move along the coil assembly.

Linear motor system

A linear motor system includes a coil assembly and a magnet assembly disposed adjacent to the coil assembly. The coil assembly includes a plurality of coil windings and a sealing material to seal and to prevent moisture and/or chemical ingress into the coil windings. The magnet assembly includes a plurality of magnets, a magnet housing disposed to house, cover and seal the plurality of magnets within the magnet housing, a plate to cover the plurality of magnets, a sealing element disposed between the plate and the magnet housing to seal the magnet assembly, and a groove formed to receive the sealing element between the plate and the magnet housing.

A sealed linear motor system is provided. The sealed linear motor system includes a sealed coil assembly having a plurality of coil windings within a base plate and comprising covers disposed about the base plate and coil windings to prevent moisture and/or chemical ingress into the base plate and the coil windings. The sealed linear motor system also includes a sealed magnet assembly disposed adjacent to the coil assembly and comprising a plurality of magnets mounted on a magnet mounting plate and a magnet housing disposed on a surface of the magnet mounting plate to cover and seal the plurality of magnets within the housing.

Sealed linear motor system

A linear motor system is provided includes a coil assembly, a magnet assembly, and a bearing assembly disposed between the coil and magnet assemblies to allow movement of one or both of them. The bearing assembly includes a single bearing rail that can be mounted on either side of the magnet assembly. The rail has elongated recesses that receive bearing elements. A stage structure may be attached to the assembly, such at to the magnet assembly, to move a machine component along the rail.
