The present disclosure is directed to systems and methods for virtualizing communications within a plurality of telematics channels operatively connected to a target machine. The method includes (i) generating a virtualized channel in addition to the plurality of telematics channels operatively connected to the target machine; (ii) predicting one or more values for the virtualized channel based on a mathematical function derived from a first set of telematics channels of a source machine; (iii) receiving measurements from the plurality of telematics channels from the target machine; and (iv) applying the mathematical function to the target machine based upon the one or more predicted values of the virtualized channel and the received measurements from the plurality of telematics channels from the target machine.

A reductant delivery system includes an electronic control unit coupled with each of an electronically controlled reductant injector and an electronically controlled pump, and structured to mitigate obstruction of a reductant injector in an exhaust system of an engine. The electronic control unit is further structured to receive data indicative of a pump duty cycle, and calculate a diagnostic value based on pump duty cycle associated with injection of different amounts of reductant, compare the diagnostic value with a threshold value, and output an error signal to trigger an obstructed-injector mitigation action.

Diagnostic and mitigation strategy for reductant injector obstruction in exhaust system

An exhaust control system for use with a combustion engine is disclosed. The system may have an exhaust passage, an exhaust sensor located within the exhaust passage and configured to generate a first signal indicative of an exhaust parameter, and an operational sensor associated with the combustion engine and configured to generate a second signal indicative of an operational parameter. The system may have a controller associated with the combustion engine, the exhaust sensor, and the operational sensor. The controller may be configured to detect a change in the operational parameter based on the second signal and to detect a change in the exhaust parameter based on the first signal. The controller may measure an elapsed time between detection of the change in the operational parameter and the change in the exhaust parameter, and determine a placement-related parameter of the exhaust sensor based on the elapsed time.

A control strategy selectively controls the heating of fluid lines equipped with line heaters that may be utilized with a selective catalytic reduction system. The control strategy measures a tank temperature representative of reductant agent in a storage tank and a representative ambient temperature representative of an ambient temperature proximate the fluid line. The control strategy determines a lowest possible reductant agent temperature ('LPRAT') based on the measured tank temperature and representative ambient temperature. The LPRAT is compared with a desired reductant agent temperature and, in response to the comparison, the control strategy may activate the line heater.
