With the latching elements latching the vehicular glass roof panel assembly at the vehicle roof, the glass panel extends across the vehicle roof and the side rails extend above respective side doors of the vehicle.

A vehicular window assembly includes a window panel having an inner side and an outer side separated from the inner side by a thickness of the window panel. The window panel has a perimeter edge that spans between the inner side and the outer side. A perimeter frame includes a plastic inner frame portion and a polymeric outer frame portion disposed at an outer surface of the inner frame portion. The inner frame portion has an attaching element that is adhesively bonded at the inner side of the window panel to attach the perimeter frame to the window panel. With the attaching element adhesively bonded at the inner side of the window panel, the outer frame portion receives and seals against the perimeter edge of the window panel.

The elongated sealing portions are joined at adjacent ends to form a perimeter seal. With the vehicular rear window assembly disposed at the rear portion of the cabin of the vehicle, the light sources, when electrically powered to emit light, emit light that is visible through the window panel so as to be viewable by a person viewing the vehicular rear window assembly from exterior and rearward of the vehicle. The indicating device is operated responsive to at least one system of the vehicle. Responsive to an output of the at least one system, the indicating device adjusts operation of the light sources to indicate a status of the at least one system.

A method for manufacturing vehicular slider window assembly includes providing at least one fixed window panel and a perimeter seal having elongated sealing portions joined at respective corner regions. Each of the elongated sealing portions includes a base portion, an elongated sealing lip and an attachment element. The perimeter seal is adhesively attached at the fixed window panel. The corner regions are sealed at the at least one fixed window panel via dispensing a sealant through a passageway formed at an end of the base portion of respective ones of the elongated sealing portions at the respective corner regions to fill a gap between adjacent end regions of the respective attachment elements at the respective corner regions at the surface of the at least one fixed window panel. A movable window panel is disposed at upper and lower rails of the at least one fixed window panel.

The drive system includes a single flexible drive element that, when the drive system is actuated to move the window panel in one direction, the flexible drive element pulls the movable window panel along the rails, and when the drive system is actuated to move the window panel in the opposite direction, the flexible drive element pushes the movable window panel along the rails. The electrical connector is bonded at the window panel with the busbar-connecting portion electrically connected to the respective busbar without use of solder.

A vehicular rear slider window assembly includes a fixed window panel having an inner side and an outer side, an upper rail and a lower rail attached at the inner side, and a movable window panel having a lower perimeter edge received in a channel of the lower rail and an upper perimeter edge received in a channel of the upper rail. The lower rail includes a first attaching surface that attaches at the inner side and a second attaching surface opposite the first attaching surface. A retaining element is attached along the lower rail and at the second attaching surface. The electrically conductive trace includes a single continuous electrically conductive trace that has a positive end for electrically connecting to a positive terminal and a negative end for electrically connecting to a negative terminal. The drive system includes (i) a housing attached at the fixed window panel, (ii) a drive motor disposed in the housing, (iii) a threaded shaft disposed in the housing and rotatably driven by the drive motor, (iv) a connecting element that threadedly receives the threaded shaft therethrough and (v) a window connector that is affixed to the movable window panel and that pivotally connects to the connecting element. Rotation of the threaded shaft imparts a translational movement of the connecting element along the threaded shaft to move the movable window panel between the opened and closed positions.
