A bone displacement system includes an anchoring portion, a tool engaging portion, a compression distraction mechanism, a lateral body and a distal body. The anchoring portion has an aperture for receiving a wire to connect the anchoring portion to a proximal bone. The tool engaging portion is connected to the anchoring portion and is configured to connect a tool thereto. The compression-distraction mechanism is connected to the anchoring portion. The lateral body is connected to the compression-distraction mechanism by a ratchet. The lateral body has a downwardly depending portion for contacting a lateral bone. The distal body is connected to the compression-distraction mechanism. The distal body has an aperture for receiving a wire to connect the distal body to a distal bone. The compression-distraction mechanism is configured to move the anchoring portion relative to the distal body.

Bone align and joint preparation device and method

A bone displacement system includes an anchoring portion, a tool engaging portion, a compression distraction mechanism, a lateral body and a distal body. The anchoring portion has an aperture for receiving a wire to connect the anchoring portion to a proximal bone. The anchoring portion is connectable to a downwardly depending member for holding a tissue portion. The tool engaging portion is connected to the anchoring portion and is configured to connect a tool thereto. The compression-distraction mechanism is connected to the anchoring portion. A bone cut guide includes a stem having a stem longitudinal axis and an anchoring portion proximal to the stem and connected to the stem by a cut body. The anchoring portion includes an anchoring opening configured to receive a wire therethrough to connect the anchoring portion to a bone. The cut body includes a cut slot configured to receive a saw to cut the bone.

Bone cut guide apparatus and method

An intramedullary device, having a first longitudinal axis extending between a proximal end and a distal end thereof, is provided. The intramedullary device may include a first bore and a second bore. The first bore may include a second longitudinal axis and may extend through the intramedullary device between a first opening and a second opening. The second longitudinal axis may define a first angle (&#x3b8;1) with the first longitudinal axis. The second bore may include a third longitudinal axis and may extend through the intramedullary device between the first opening and a third opening. The third longitudinal axis may define a second angle (&#x3b8;2) with the first longitudinal axis.

An orthopaedic aiming device system is provided that includes a targeting device. The targeting device has a curved portion with an end and at least one guide opening formed therethrough. The curved portion also defines an arced axis. Connected to the end of the curved portion is a mounting portion that has at least one mounting opening formed therethrough. The mounting opening defines a mounting axis that is approximately orthogonal to at least one point on the arced axis of the curved portion. The orthopaedic aiming device system can also include mounting pins, a positioning device, and an orthopaedic implant. The mounting pins can include distancing features that interact with distance locking features of the mounting opening(s) to properly distance the targeting device from the orthopaedic implant. Also included is a method to target implant openings that have compound angled screw trajectories using an orthopaedic aiming device system.
