The head of a stapler for mucosectomy comprises an external goblet-shaped body () wherein an internal goblet-shaped body () is concentrically and slidingly located, at the edge of which a circular blade () is fixed. The internal goblet-shaped body () is provided with a central hole () wherein a rod () is slidingly inserted, at the end () of which an anvil (') is fixed. One or more annular grooves (), which are parallel and suitably spaced one from the other, are formed on the lateral surface of the rod () perpendicularly to the axis thereof. Said grooves () are intended to receive a portion of mucosa () which is included in a purse string suture as the mucosa is tied around the rod (). By retracting the rod () in the central hole () of the stem () of the Internal goblet-shaped body () the mucosa to be removed is carried into the internal goblet-shaped body (). The anvil (&#x2032;) and the circular blade () are moved closer one to the other, by suitable means, in order to cut the tissues when the stapler is in a closed position.

A composite anoscope for ano-rectal diagnostic and surgery, wherein the anoscope () also comprises an internal component (), to be inserted therein, and a suitably shorter external component (), ending with a conic frustum mantle (), wherein the anoscope () is to be inserted. The three components () are all conic frustum shaped hollow bodies having circular cross-section. The internal component (), when inserted in the anoscope (), forms therewith a single body having a compact and smooth external surface and an ogival tip. A head for a stapler used during a mucosectomy is disclosed that includes an external body, an internal body, an anvil, and a blade. The internal body includes a central hole into which a rod is slidingly inserted. One or more annular grooves are formed on a lateral surface of the rod, and are intended to receive a portion of mucosa which is included in a purse string suture as the mucosa is tied around the rod. By retracting the rod in the central hole of the internal body, the mucosa to be removed is carried into the internal body.
