Toner particles comprising a toner resin are provided, characterised in that the toner resin comprises a radiation curable resin having a Tg.gtoreq.35.degree. C. The radiation curable resin is preferably a UV-curable resin and is a member selected from the group consisting of unsaturated polyester/polyurethaneacrylate mixture and unsaturated polyester/polyurethane-vinylether mixture. A method and an apparatus for forming radiation cured toner images are also provided.

A toner image, comprising a plurality of fused different types of toner particles on a substrate is provided wherein on top of the image, optionally comprising a clear finish layer, an abhesive compound is present in an amount between 3.0 and 300 mg/m.sup.2 and wherein the abhesive compound has a viscosity, at 25.degree. between 50 and 50,000 mPas. According to the present invention magnetic carrier particles are provided for use in magnetic brush toner-carrier development of electrostatic charge patterns, said particles incorporating finely divided magnetic pigment particles dispersed in a resin binder, characterized in that said carrier particles comprise a mixture of magnetic pigment particles wherein a portion (A) of said pigment particles has a coercive force of more than 300 Oe and another portion (B) of said pigment particles has a coercive force of less than 300 Oe, the weight ratio of said portions (A) and (B) being in the range of 0.1 to 10.
