A hamper assembly is provided having a tubular support frame and a mating bag. The frame comprises crossed first and second substantially rectangular sections that are coupled at the crossing points of the sections by elastomeric rings permitting pivotal movement, as well as lateral and longitudinal flexibility. A mating hamper bag is supported by the tubular frame and has two fabric side panels and a continuous U-shaped panel of mesh material that forms the two ends and bottom of the bag. The side panels are attached to loops along their upper edges that receive the top tubes of the hamper frame. A U-shaped stretch panel is attached along the lower edge of each side panel and extends around and under each bottom tube of the frame. With the hamper fully open, the stretch panel stretches the bottom panel to maximize the capacity of the bag. As the hamper is opened and closed, the bottom tubes slide on the stretch panel. As the two frame sections approach the over-center position, the stretch panel resists further movement in that direction, to provide a latching function that assists the bag in remaining open/closed during handling.

An ironing board assembly for mounting on a standard door includes a tubular mounting frame, a pivoted ironing board on the frame and retractable holders on the frame to secure the assembly with respect to the face of the door to resist lateral shifting during ironing and during swinging of the door when the assembly is not in use. The frame is supported by brackets over the top of the door. The holders are mounted on the frame adjacent the bottom and include an integral suction cup and ring. The ring pivots on the tubular frame for retracting to a position substantially within the lateral profile of the frame for protection during handling, such as shipping, but readily positionable through 90.degree. and facing the door during use.

An adjustable ironing table (11) includes a top board (12) and collapsible legs (14,16). The legs are retained in a stored position by a lock mechanism (60) that has a lock plate (68) spring biased to a locking position. A handle (72) can be operated to release the lock plate (68). The top board (12) has a mesh section (30) that has a stepped periphery (32) welded to a flange section (36) of a tubular frame member (35). The ends (37) of the frame member are affixed together by a bracket (41) welded to each end. A hanger rail (90) is pivotably mounted under the frame (34) to move between a stored position and a usable position. A pair of cord elevation devices (114) are mounted to the hanger rail (90).

An adjustable ironing table (11) includes a top board (12) and collapsible legs (14, 16). The legs are retained in a stored position by a lock mechanism (60) that has a lock plate (68) spring biased to a locking position. A handle (72) can be operated to release the lock plate (68). The top board (12) has a mesh section (30) that has a stepped periphery (32) welded to a flange section (36) of a tubular frame member (35). The ends (37) of the frame member are affixed together by a bracket (41) welded to each end. A hanger rail (90) is pivotably mounted under the frame (34) to move between a stored position and a usable position. A pair of cord elevation devices (114) are mounted to the hanger rail (90).

An ironing table assembly (10) of the type for movement between stored and work positions and particularly adapted for fixed connection in a closet (12). The assembly (10) includes a support member (20) which may be secured to the closet floor (16) and the closet rod (14). A pivot member (48) is pivotally secured to the tubular member and presents a tubular portion (54). A table (42) is included and has a guide rod (58) depending therefrom. The guide rod (58) is slideably retained in the tubular portion (54). An arm (62) is pivotally connected to the tubular support member (20) at one end and is pivotally mounted to the bottom of the table (42) at the other end. The arm (62) guides rotational and translational movement of the table (42) in a fore and aft (Y-Z) plane from the upper stored position to a knife edge position. The table is then rotated to a lateral (X-Z) plane to the lower work position. A socket member (66) limits rotational movement of the board from the knife edge to the working position.

An adjustable ironing table (10) includes a top board (12) and collapsible legs (22,24). A housing (46) has a vertical wall (48) extending perpendicularly relative to the top board (12) and a horizontal wall (50). The vertical wall (48) includes an opening (52) for guiding a control element (36) through the housing (46). The horizontal wall (50) includes a slot (54). A plate (44) extends through the slot (54). A compression spring (42) is retained by the control element (36) between the vertical wall (48) and the plate (44), the spring (42) pivoting the plate (44) relative to the slot (54) to engage the control element (36). The top board (12) includes a peripheral flange (20) having an outwardly curled periphery (78). The top board (12) further includes flat stretched portions (16) extending along the length of the top board (12). One of the legs (22) is connected by a base member (92) to guide rails (74), the base member (92) having four point containment of the guide rails (74).

Ironing board

A bed frame assembly (11) includes a plurality of rails (14,16) connected together to form a substantially rectangular frame (12). Legs support the rails (14,16) above the floor (24). A drawer support structure (32) supports a drawer (28) below the bed frame (12). The drawer support structure (32) is substantially C-shaped when viewed in plan view and has two spaced parallel portions (34,36) and an intermediate portion (38) interconnecting the parallel portions (34,36). The parallel portions (34,36) define a plane. The drawer support structure (32) transfers weight applied to the drawer (28) directly from the drawer support structure (32) to the floor (24). The floor support structure (32) includes an integral portion curving below the plane defined by the parallel portion (32,34) for engaging the floor (24).

An adjustable ironing table (10) includes a top board (12) and collapsible legs (22,24). A housing (46) has a vertical wall (48) extending perpendicularly relative to the top board (12) and a horizontal wall (50). The vertical wall (48) includes an opening (52) for guiding a control element (36) through the housing (46). The horizontal wall (50) includes a slot (54). A plate (44) extends through the slot (54). A compression spring (42) is retained by the control element (36) between the vertical wall (48) and the plate (44), the spring (42) pivoting the plate (44) relative to the slot (54) to engage the control element (36). The top board (12) includes a peripheral flange (20) having an outwardly curled periphery (78). The top board (12) further includes flat stretched portions (16) extending along the length of the top board (12). One of the legs (22) is connected by a base member (92) to guide rails (74), the base member (92) having four point containment of the guide rails (74). The present invention further provides a method of making the ironing board (10).

A crib assembly (10) includes a bedstead (12), spring frame (20), and hanger support bracket (30). The hanger support bracket (30) is fixedly secured to the end post (14) of the bedstead (12). The assembly (10) further includes a hanger mounting bracket (28) for retaining a hanger (26) on the spring frame (20). The hanger mounting bracket (28) completely encloses the hanger (26). The assembly (10) also includes a sinuous spring assembly (20) for supporting a mattress (24) thereon.

A crib assembly (10) includes a bedstead (12), spring frame (20), and hanger support bracket (30). The hanger support bracket (30) is fixedly secured to the end post (14) of the bedstead (12). The hanger support bracket (30) includes a base portion (32) and a plurality of hooks (34) extending from the base portion (32). A flexible arm (44) extends from the base portion (32) to the hook (34) for releasably retaining a hanger (26) on the hook (34).
