The socket is elongated, the cylindrical shape is parsed in at least two, distinct uniform diameter generally coaxial sections having a mass in the range of at least about 2 to 3 times the mass of a standard or extended ASMEB107.110.20R socket.

An engine tilting tool used to tilt transversely mounted General Motors engines includes a tubular bracket member which receives a telescoping tubular member that is driven telescopically by means of a drive rod mounted on the bracket member. The bracket member is attached to the vehicle engine compartment in place of one end of the 'dog bone' strut engine support and the telescoping tubular member is attached to the engine in place of the opposite end of the strut engine support. A nut is used to adjust the position of the telescoping tube relative to the tubular bracket member to thereby effect tilting of the engine.

An oil drain pan comprises a unitary, molded plastic container with a bottom panel, a lateral side wall panel and a top panel with a large opening therein. A wire handle is inserted into a peripheral slot in the top panel. Casters are affixed to the side panel intermediate the top and bottom panel so that the container is elevated appropriately but maintains a minimum low profile. The container is symmetrical about a longitudinal axis and further includes a pour spout at the front end thereof.

The opposite end includes a retainer which is cooperative with C-shaped wrench discs of various size and configuration that cooperate with the nut associated with the inner end of the inner tie rod.

A cylindrical and blade fuse puller is disclosed. The puller is made entirely of glass filled nylon and has a one-piece body with two sets of fuse jaws extending outwardly from the body at an angle to one another. A slider slides between the body and a mid-point on one set of arms to force the arms together to clamp the outer periphery of a cylindrical fuse.

Disclosed is a pliers for contracting CV boot band clamps having crossed lever arms, with each lever arm having a jaw at one end, a grippable handle at the other, and a drive socket between the handle and jaw. The pliers also has a thrust plate with an anvil that moves toward the jaws as they are brought together by closing the pliers.

An improved hand-operated vacuum pump is disclosed and includes a cylinder, head assembly, and elastic seal member. The cylinder and head assembly define opposing grooves, and the elastic seal member is positioned in the grooves to secure the head assembly to the cylinder. A piston assembly is operative within the cylinder to draw a vacuum within the head assembly.
