Computing device docking systems are disclosed. According to an aspect, a computing device docking system includes a docking station component having an opening defined within a surface. The system includes a pin including a body and an end having a member extending laterally from the body. The end of the pin is receivable within an opening of a computing device component for attaching the computing device component to the docking station. The pin is moveable within the opening between a first position and a second position. In the first position, at least a portion of the body and at least a portion of the member is positioned within the opening of the docking station component. In the second position, at least a portion of the body is within the opening and the member is outside of the opening of the docking station component.

Computing device docking systems

An apparatus for preventing and detecting tampering of an electronic device is provided. The apparatus may prevent and detect tampering occurring through an aperture in a casing of the electronic device where the aperture is configured for receiving a standoff that couples a communication cable to a communication port of the electronic device. Upon removal of the standoff, visual indicia of tampering may be provided. Additionally, a shield may block entry of the standoff into the aperture if the standoff is removed.

Tamper prevention and detection apparatus for an electronic device

The illustrative embodiments described herein provide an apparatus and method for adjusting a gap in a printer. The apparatus includes the printer that has a print head transport shaft. The print head is slidably coupled to the transport shaft. The apparatus includes an adjusting plate comprising a groove. The adjusting plate is located at a first side of the printer. The adjusting plate is slidably coupled to the transport shaft via the groove. Moving the adjusting plate along a first axis changes a first position of the print head on the first side of the printer to form the gap. The first axis is perpendicular to the transport shaft. The apparatus also includes a spring. The spring biases the adjusting plate such that the groove is biased toward the transport shaft.

Method and apparatus for adjusting a gap in a printer

A convertible self-checkout system includes a base and a stand rotatably mounted to the base. The stand includes an input/output device facing in a first direction and a product scanner, and the stand is positionable relative to the base in at least a first angular position and a second angular position. The input/output device is an interactive video display, and the interactive video display has a first mode corresponding to the first angular position and a second mode corresponding to the second angular position. A sensor determines an angular position of the stand relative to the base and communicates the angular position to the interactive video display. The stand further includes a video display facing in a second direction substantially opposite from the first direction.

Convertible self-checkout system

A slide track of a notched slider control can include a continuous path extending between two end points. A slider can be a graphical element able to move along the slide track. The end points can correspond to upper and lower extremes of a value range. Positions between the end points can represent values within the value range. The slide track can include at least one notch that is visually represented within the slide control as a deviation from a straight line segment having the two end points. The notch corresponds to a value within the value range. The notch can causes the slider to become fixed at a point along the slide track whenever a pointing device controlling the slider is moved in a direction of the deviation.

Pressure pad engagement mechanism using sliding actuator

An apparatus is disclosed that surrounds a connector and places it within the printer body in such away as to allow for the connector to float against the intrusion of a sliding can mounted with electronics and to set up and enable the printer. The problem solved is that of the blind-mating connectors within a printer system for which an industry standard connector set for flex cable must be used. It is advantageous to allow a connector that is attached to a flex cable to float even though the floating feature has not been considered in the original design and the connector was not made for the amount of misalignment present in a blind-mate connection. In addition, by a single-rib design, an extra degree of freedom for rotational around Y-axis is provided to the floating connector to further guide the lead-in of the contacting face of the mating connector.

Apparatus and method for floating connector capture

A cash drawer having a coin roll opening device for opening a roll of coins quickly, conveniently and safely. The device includes a cash drawer having guides for receiving a coin roll. The cash drawer further includes a receptacle for receiving a blade assembly. The blade assembly having a blade and a blade holder. The blade assembly easily inserted and removed from the receptacle by use of the flexible arms of the blade holder. The blade holder is formed by two identical halves each having a male post, a post slot, a snap post and a snap arm for securing the blade. The blade having notches for receiving the male posts.

Coin roll opening device

An electronic equipment drawer 20 is aligned with an electrical connector in a tunnel in the horizontal and vertical directions with alignment pins and holes. A screw drive 34 and cam 36 mounted on the drawer engages a tunnel wall and controls insertion into the tunnel to provide proper electrical contact and lock the drawer in place in the tunnel. A bus extender card 25 inserted in a connector 26 centrally located on a mother board 21 is supported by surfaces on a bar 28 extending between end walls 24 of the drawer. The end walls 24 include pairs of channels 31 on opposed walls which support feature cards inserted into connectors mounted on the bus extender card 25.

Serviceable data terminal structure

The end walls include pairs of channels on opposed walls which support feature cards inserted into connectors mounted on the bus extender card.
