A system for improved cable management is disclosed in several example embodiments. The disclosed embodiments describe example structures for supporting cables, for example telecommunications and fiber optic cables, within a cable storage cabinet. The disclosed embodiments also describe a door for a cable storage cabinet. The example door includes a hinge control and handle system which allows the door to be opened along either side to therefore allow the door to be opened either way from a single handle. The disclosed embodiments also describes an indicator system which informs a user when the door for the cable storage cabinet is in either a closed position or an open position. Each of these embodiments improves the utility and safety of cable management, particularly within cable storage cabinets.

A system and method that facilitates toolfree installation and removal of a patch panel in telecommunications cabinets. The system and method involves a simple and quick installation and removal. The system and method includes a mounting clip member that can be used on either side of the panel.

The invention relates to a connector () for data connections, in particular of the RJ type, with a latch element () for securing a connection to a counter-connector. In order to simplify a disconnection of the connector () and the counter-connector, even when the connection is secured by the latch connection, the invention provides that the connector () is provided with a gripping end (') that is adapted to transfer the latch element () from its latch position (L) and to disconnect the connector () from the counter-connector by a single movement.

A fiber optic system includes a telecommunications chassis defining a front and a rear, a plurality of blades slidably mounted to the chassis, the blades slidable in a direction extending from the front to the rear, and a plurality of fiber optic cassettes removably mounted to each blade. Each fiber optic cassette includes a housing defining a maximum cassette height, the housing formed by a base and a cover mounted thereon. Each cassette defines fiber optic connection locations. The base of each cassette defines a notched area for receiving a portion of the blade on which the cassette is mounted such that the blade does not increase the overall maximum height defined by the housing.

The present invention relates to a communication patch panel and a communication rack system having the communication patch panel. The communication patch panel includes a panel body () having two ends as well as a front side () and a rear side. The communication patch panel includes two fittings (), each of which is configured to be mounted on a communication rack () and to be detachably connected to one of the ends of the panel body, wherein each of the fittings provides a plurality of transverse positions for the detachable connection. A plurality of different positionings of the panel body may be flexibly realized in the communication patch panel.

In accordance with some aspects of the disclosure, a modular telecommunications patch panel system is shown and described. The panel can include a mounting frame extending between a first end and a second end, the mounting frame defining a plurality of apertures for receiving telecommunications components, a first mounting ear forming a snap-fit connection with the mounting frame first end, in a first orientation, and a second mounting ear, identical to the first mounting ear, forming a snap-fit connection with the mounting frame second end, in a second orientation.

The present invention relates to a cable management assembly () for a cable manager, and a cable manager comprising the same, wherein the cable management assembly comprises a plurality of cable management elements () arranged sequentially, at least one of which forms a cable receiving portion (), in which two adjacent cable management elements are connected to each other through a weak portion () which is breakable by rotating the weak portion, so that the two adjacent cable management elements are separated from each other. The cable management assembly may be changed flexibly as necessary in an ex post facto manner.
