An intelligent clutch lubrication system includes a first dynamically-lubricated clutch pack, a supply pump, a first lubricant control (LC) valve, and a lubricant flow circuit having a clutch lubrication loop in which the first clutch pack is positioned. When active, the supply pump urges lubricant flow about the lubricant flow circuit and through the clutch lubrication loop. The first LC valve is positioned in the clutch lubrication loop at a location upstream of the first clutch pack, while a controller architecture is operably coupled to the first LC valve. the controller architecture is configured to control the first LC valve to temporarily boost lubricant flow to the first DL clutch pack when moving into an engaged position during operation of the intelligent clutch lubrication system.

A harvester power takeoff (PTO) clutch system includes a detachable PTO extension module and transmission gearbox housing, which has a clutch compartment and a clutch service port through which the clutch compartment can be accessed. A PTO clutch is disposed in the clutch compartment, while a clutch shaft extends from the PTO clutch and projects from the clutch compartment through the clutch service port. The detachable PTO extension module includes, in turn: a PTO housing extension mounted to the transmission gearbox housing; a PTO shaft rotatably coupled to the PTO clutch and projecting from the PTO housing extension in a direction opposite the transmission gearbox housing; an inner extension bearing disposed in the PTO housing extension and rotatably supporting the clutch shaft; and an outer extension bearing further disposed in the PTO housing extension and rotatably supporting the PTO shaft.

A drive mechanism comprises a flywheel, a flywheel damper removably connected to the flywheel, a pump drive, and an intermediate shaft. The pump drive comprises a housing, an input shaft mounted to the housing for rotation relative thereto about an axis of rotation, and a seal surrounding the input shaft to establish a sealed connection therewith. The intermediate shaft is co-axial with the input shaft relative to the axis of rotation and removably connected to the flywheel damper and the input shaft. The seal is replaceable. A vehicle having a power generating device and a power transfer device. The power transfer device includes a plurality of gears in a housing within which the plurality of gears rotate. The plurality of gears include a first gear and a second gear, the first gear meshing with the second gear. The housing has a lubrication passage. The housing also has a lubrication slot and/or a spray nozzle in fluid communication with the lubrication passage. The lubrication slot and/or spray nozzle direct the fluid flowing therethrough toward where the first gear and second gear mesh.

Power transfer box lubrication device

A work machine in which the engine and power output system is to be contained within a minimal volume in an engine compartment. A gear housing is mounted to and receives the output of the internal combustion engine and has side by side gears meshing with a first input gear, one of which drives a generator and the other drives an internal lubricant pump as well as an external hydraulic pump. The gears are in substantially the same plane. The output of the generator is connected via a controller to a motor which drives a transmission system for driving the wheels of the vehicle. The gear housing permits placement of additional components within the engine compartment while taking up a minimum volume.
