A pull cord safety device has a single molded body with two members coupled by an integral hinge. The hinge allows the members to pivot from a closed position to an open position. One member receives a first knotted pull cord in a circular opening so that it is coupled to the member in both the open and closed positions. A second knotted cord is inserted in a recess formed in a rim of one member where it faces the other member. When the members move to the open position, the second cord is released. Multiple cords can be accommodated in the recess.

Curtain draping hardware and a method for draping a curtain using a curtain rod and a curtain holder. The curtain covers the curtain rod and can be made to form one or two vertical tails and/or one or more arcs or swags by placement of the curtain in one or more curtain holders. A decorative accent piece can also be attached to the front of the curtain rod above the curtain holder.

This invention relates to a headrail and mounting bracket for retractable venetian window blinds. The bracket has a top plate and a rear plate extending downwardly from the top plate. A hook near one end of the top plate engages with a lip on a front wall of the headrail. Means are provided to ensure that the hook is securely and tightly engaged with the lip. A latch associated with the rear plate engages with the rear edge of the bottom wall of the headrail to secure the headrail in the bracket. An end plate may also be provided on the bracket.

This invention relates to a curtain rod mounting assembly. The configuration of the mounting clip allows one or two base members to be mounted thereon. Either a curtain rod member or a valance extender can be inserted into the base member. A plurality of valance extenders can be used to increase the distance that the curtain rod bracket is from the window. The base members valance extenders and curtain rod mounting brackets are provided with means that allow for precise and simple positioning of the curtain rod mounting bracket from the window frame.
