The disclosure relates to a 5generation (5G) or 6generation (6G) communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. A method for handling a Non access stratum (NAS) procedure (e.g., service request (SR) procedure or the like) by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless network is provided. The method includes triggering the SR procedure and determining a transmission failure of the SR or a control plane service request message in response to triggering the SR procedure. Further, the method includes determining whether the SR procedure is triggered for a reason comprising one of requesting the wireless network to release a NAS signaling connection, and rejecting a paging request from the wireless network, or requesting the wireless network to release the NAS signaling connection. Further, the method includes performing one of aborting the SR procedure triggered due to the reason in response to determining the transmission failure, or re-triggering the SR procedure triggered not due to the reason in response to determining the transmission failure.

Embodiments herein disclose a wireless network and methods to maintain a MA PDU session at a NSACF entity. The method includes determining, by a SMF entity, that a PDU session is the MA PDU session based on an indication from a UE. Further, the method includes indicating, by the SMF entity, that the PDU session is the MA PDU session to the NSACF entity in response to determination. The wireless network may maintain the count accurately even though the PDU session is a MA PDU session.

Embodiments herein provide a method for performing voice call performance by a user equipment (UE). A voice call is preferred for a cellular network over a Wi-Fi network, an IMS is registered over a 5G BS, the 5G BS is not supported for the voice call, and a Wi-Fi device and a 4G BS are supported for the voice call. The method includes: detecting an event related to the voice call; comparing signal strength of the Wi-Fi device and signal strength of the 4G BS; shifting an IMS registration from the 5G BS to the Wi-Fi device, upon determining that the signal strength of the Wi-Fi device is greater than the signal strength of the 4G BS; and initiating the voice call over the Wi-Fi device upon detecting a trigger for the voice call.

In an embodiment, there can be a zero CQI reporting for indicating a signal deterioration during the VoNR call. Embodiments herein provide a wireless communication system for managing a network slice congestion. The wireless communication system includes a User Equipment (UE), operably coupled to a core network. The UE is configured to transmit a first NAS signaling message to the core network, wherein the first NAS signaling message comprises a specific network slide identity. The core network i configured to detect the network slice congestion in the wireless communication system. Disclosed are methods and systems for prioritizing cell selection for availing LADN services. A UE prioritizes cells for selection based on availability of LADN services in the cells. For handover, a base station of a cell, providing LADN services to the UE, prioritizes target cells that provide LADN services that are being currently availed by the UE for ensuring LADN service continuity. The base station initiates addition of secondary cells that provide additional LADN services that are intended by the UE. The UE can predict if a paging message is relevant to a LADN service and send serving requests to the serving cell or other cells to avail the LADN service. The UE detects relay UEs providing LADN services and prioritizes the relay UEs for selection based on availability of LADN services. The UE buffers data if the UE is located at an edge of a LADN service area.
