There is described a packaging machine for producing sealed packages of pourable food products from a web of packaging material, comprising: an aseptic chamber through which web is fed and within which a sterilizing agent is applied onto web; a station which is arranged downstream from said aseptic chamber and in which a tube formed by web is, in use, fed; and a sealing device which separate chamber and station; packaging machine also comprise a conveyor fluidically connected with station and adapted to convey away residues of sterilizing agent from station.

Packaging machine and method for producing sealed packages of a food product from a web of a packaging material

There is described a unit for sterilizing a web of packaging material advanced along a given path, having, along a longitudinal portion thereof, a succession of pre-applied opening devices and adapted to be transformed in a plurality of sealed packages containing a pourable food product; the unit comprises a bath, containing a sterilizing agent in which the web with the opening devices is advanced, and an aseptic chamber connected to an outlet of the bath and housing drying mechanism for removing residual sterilizing agent from the web; the drying mechanism comprise an ejector located at a distance from the outlet of the bath and configured so as to direct a stream of air transversally to the web and onto the longitudinal portion of the web provided with the opening devices.

Unit for sterilizing a web of packaging material for a machine for packaging pourable food products

A unit for applying opening devices to packages of pourable food products having a rupturable portion includes a conveyor for feeding the packages successively along a given path; and a gripping device for receiving the opening devices at a pickup station, and which move cyclically between the pickup station and an application station interfacing with the path and where the opening devices are applied to respective packages; the trajectory of the gripping device from the application station to the pickup station is distinct from the path of the packages; and the unit also includes a pressure device generating a contact pressure between the packages and the opening devices as of the application station and along at least a portion of the path of the packages.

Unit for applying opening devices of packages of pourable food products

There is described a closable opening device for a sealed package containing a pourable food product. The opening device has a tubular frame defining a through hole and fitted about a pierceable portion of the package; a removeable threaded frame which screws onto the frame to close the hole; and a tubular cutting member movably engaging the hole, rotatably connected to the frame at least when disengaging the cap from the frame when unsealing the package and projecting axially from the frame and inwards of the package to detach the pierceable portion partly from the rest of the package and the cutting member has, along a lateral wall, a number of through openings to allow air into the package when pouring the product.
