A ceramic mixed system is proposed that includes a two-phase mixture of pure components A and B, wherein phase A is based on the cubic to tetragonal modification of BiNbOand phase B is based on a monoclinic pyrochlore modification of Bi(ZnNb)O. The electrical properties of ceramics produced therefrom make the material suitable for components having a multilayer structure in which capacitors and inductors are integrated and which can be used in data processing or signal processing.

A capacitor includes at least two pairs of opposing electrode layers and an intermediate dielectric layer. The intermediate dielectric layer includes a ceramic material that contains at least two different components existing in separate phases. The at least two different components have a perovskite structure that contains silver in A-positions and niobium and tantalum in B-positions. A composition of a first component and a composition of a second component are such that temperature coefficients of respective permittivities Tk&#x3b5;and Tk&#x3b5;have different signs within a temperature range.

A method of producing a ceramic object includes producing particles of a type A and a type B. Each particle has a dimension of at least 5 &#x3bc;m and each type of particle includes a ceramic material that is based on a mixture of silver oxide, niobium oxide and tantalum oxide. The method includes producing a particle mixture by mixing the types of particles, producing a green compact by compressing the particle mixture, and sintering the green compact.
