An additively manufactured noise attenuation panel for a structure within an aircraft structure includes a plurality of unit cells, each including a central body interconnected via a plurality of tubes extending from the central body. The noise attenuation panel may include an increasing wall thickness in a desired direction. A layers of unit cells may be manufactured in a twisted orientation with respect to an immediately adjacent layer of unit cells. Layers of unit cells may be manufactured in a rounded or bent orientation with respect to a central axis. The noise attenuation panel may further comprise a disk and a blended transition located at the interface between the disk and an interior surface of a unit cell.

Additive manufacturing of unit cell resonator networks for acoustic damping

A light emitting diode display panel may comprise a substrate, a plurality of light emitting diodes located over the substrate, and an optical assembly located over the plurality of light emitting diodes. The optical assembly may include a lens array and a diffuser. An inner surface of the lens array may define a plurality of inner curves.

Optical assemblies for aircraft displays

A first composition is disclosed that includes a fire-resistant thermoplastic resin. The fire-resistant thermoplastic resin includes 1-20 wt % of an aryl phosphate, includes 1-20 wt % of a phosphate polymer, and 60%-98% of a (meth)acrylic polymer, including units from at least one monomer, wherein the monomer is chosen from methyl methacrylate, acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, acrylic acid esters, methacrylic acid esters, acrylonitrile and maleic anhydride. The first composition may further include a fabric or a composite material that is embedded with the fire-resistant thermoplastic resin. In some instances, the aryl-phosphate and the phosphonate polymer synergistically reduce an effective heat of combustion, a peak heat release, or a flame time as compared to a second composition that contains only one of the aryl phosphate or the phosphonate polymer.

An illustrative example assembly for making an elevator load bearing member includes a fabric having a plurality of fibers arranged with some of the fibers transverse to others of the fibers. A plurality of cords are configured to support a load associated with an elevator car. The cords are included in the fabric and have respective coatings. The coatings include a first coating material and a second coating material, or include different coating thicknesses such that some of the coatings have a different coating thickness than others of the coatings, or the coatings include the first coating material and the second coating material and some of the coatings have a different coating thickness than others of the coatings.

The plurality of sidewalls defines a plurality of cells. Each cell of the plurality of cells defines a cavity between the first face sheet and the second face sheet. A bulk absorber is disposed within at least one cell of the plurality of cells. The bulk absorber further defines the cavity of the at least one cell of the plurality of cells. The first face sheet defines a plurality of apertures extending through a thickness of the first face sheet. Each aperture of the plurality of apertures is aligned with a respective cell of the plurality of cells.
