A process for binding lignocellulosic material comprising the steps of a) bringing lignocellulosic material into contact with a methylene bridged polyphenyl polyisocyanate composition and b) subsequently allowing said material to bind wherein said polyisocyanate composition has a surface tension below or equal to 46 mN/m.

The invention relates to a formulation comprising: &#x2014;a first component which is formed from at least one isocyanate and at least one amino resin, wherein said amino resin is the condensation product of an aldehyde with a compound selected from the group comprising urea, melamine, benzoguanamine, glycoluril, acetoguanamine and mixtures thereof; and &#x2014;a second component comprising at least one polyether, wherein said polyether comprises at least one ethylene oxide moiety and at least one isocyanate reactive group selected from the group comprising hydroxyl, amino, epoxy, and thiol, preferably hydroxyl.

Wood adhesive formulation

A formulation containing (i) a first component formed from at least one isocyanate and at least one polyether and (ii) a second component including at least one amino resin, wherein the amino resin is the condensation product of an aldehyde and at least one of urea, melamine, benzoguanamine, glycoluril, and acetoguanamine. A process for binding lignocellulosic materials using the formulation is also described.
