The present disclosure is directed to a method for storing information in a coded manner in non-volatile memory cells. The method includes providing a group of non-volatile memory cells of non volatile memory. The memory cell is of the type in which a stored logic state, which can be logic high or logic low, can be changed through application of a current to the cell and the state in the memory cell is read by reading a current provided by the cell. The group of non-volatile memory cells include a determined number of non-volatile memory cells which is greater than two. The group of non-volatile memory cells store a codeword formed by the values of said stored states of the cells of the group taken according to a given order. Given a set of codewords obtainable by the stored values in the determined number of non-volatile memory cells in a group, the method includes storing the information in at least two subsets of said set of codewords comprising each at least a codeword. Each codeword in a same subset has a same Hamming weight. Each codeword belonging to one subset has a Hamming distance equal or greater than two with respect to each codeword belonging to another subset.

Method for storing information in a coded manner in non-volatile memory cells, decoding method and non-volatile memory

The present disclosure is directed to a sense amplifier architecture for a memory device having a plurality of memory cells. Groups of non-volatile memory cells store respective codewords formed by stored logic states, logic high or logic low, of the memory cells of the group. The sense amplifier architecture has a plurality of sense amplifier reading branches, each sense amplifier reading branch coupled to a respective memory cell and configured to provide an output signal, which is indicative of a cell current flowing through the same memory cell; a comparison stage, to perform a comparison between the cell currents of memory cells of a group; and a logic stage, to determine, based on comparison results provided by the comparison stage, a read codeword corresponding to the group of memory cells. Information may be stored in different subsets of codewords, the sense amplifier architecture in this case having a subset definition circuit, to allow a preliminary determination of the subset to which a codeword to be read belongs to, based on reference signals.

A system, such as, e.g., a multiplier, for processing digital signals by using digital signals in the Canonic Signed Digit representation, the system including an input element to make the digital signals available in the Binary Canonic Signed Digit representation, a converter to convert the digital signals into Canonic Signed Digit representation for use in processing. The input element may be a memory where the signals are stored in the Binary Canonic Signed Digit representation. Alternatively, the input element is adapted to be fed with digital signals in the two's complement representation, and includes at least one converter to convert the digital signals from the two's complement representation into the Binary Canonic Signed Digit representation. Data processor unit for high-throughput wireless communications

To generate the main scrambling code of order N and the secondary scrambling code of order K within the set identified by the primary scrambling code of order N, a first m-sequence and a second m-sequence are generated using Fibonacci linear feedback shift registers. The first m-sequence and the second m-sequence are modulo-2 added to form the I branch of the primary scrambling code. A first T-bit masking word and a second T-bit masking word of rankare generated that correspond to the polynomial time shifts, and the intermediate taps of the X and y registers respectively chosen by the masking words are modulo-2 added so as to generate a third sequence and a fourth sequence, which are modulo-2 added together to form the Q branch of the primary scrambling code. Starting from the least significant Kmax bits of the register X, of the K-th intermediate tap corresponding to the secondary scrambling code of order K within the set identified by the primary scrambling code of order N, a fifth sequence is generated, which, modulo-2 added to the second sequence, forms the I branch of the secondary scrambling code. By modulo-2 summing the intermediate taps of the register X masked by the first masking word of rank N, a sixth sequence is generated, which, modulo-2 added to the fourth sequence, forms the Q branch of the secondary scrambling code.

Process for generating codes for CDMA communications, system and computer program product therefor

A method for incrementing, decrementing or two's complementing a first string of bits includes generating an auxiliary string of bits as a function of the first string, and logically combining the auxiliary string with the first string to generate a corresponding output string. A least significant bit of the auxiliary string is independent from the bits of the first string, and any other bit of the auxiliary string. The method is particularly convenient for generating an overflow flag when the number to be output exceeds the representation interval. An overflow flag is generated by logically combining the most significant bits of the first and auxiliary strings.

Method and relative circuit for incrementing, decrementing or two's complementing a bit string

Described herein is a method for parallel generating Walsh-Hadamard (WH) channelization codes and Orthogonal Variable Spreading Factor (OVSF) channelization codes, which are channelization codes formed by a plurality of strings of antipodal digits, each having a given length L and being identifiable by respective indices I formed by strings of binary digits, each having a given length N equal to the logarithm in base two of the length L of the channelization codes, the antipodal digits of the channelization codes assuming the values +1 and &#x2212;1 and the binary digits of said indices I assuming the values 0 and 1. The method according to the invention enables determination of the antipodal digits of the channelization codes according to the binary digits of the corresponding indices I, implementing specific EXOR logic operations, by means of which there are first generated intermediate binary digits, which are then encoded with the antipodal digits of the channelization codes using an encoding criterion according to which the intermediate binary digits 0 and 1 can be encoded, respectively, with the antipodal digits &#x2212;1 and +1 or else with the antipodal digits +1 and &#x2212;1 according to the type of binary encoding chosen a priori for the antipodal digits themselves.
