A laundry washing machine having a cabinet, a washing drum, a washing tub, and a dispenser having a first region with an open top configured to receive a unit dose package comprising treating agent incorporated into a water-soluble pouch. The first region has walls that converge towards a dispenser outlet that is dimensioned to hold the package within a predefined zone when the unit dose package is unbroken. A valve is provided and connected to a source of pressurized water. A water conveying line connects the valve to one or more outlets via a water-tight line, such that the outlets are configured to direct a respective pressurized flow of water therethrough. At least one of the outlets is configured to direct a respective pressurized flow of water into the first region towards the predefined zone.

Method for operating a laundry washing machine using a unit dose package and laundry washing machine implementing the method

A laundry washing machine having a cabinet supporting a washing drum adapted to receive laundry, and a washing tub external to the washing drum, and a treating agents dispenser with one or more compartments adapted to be receive treating agents. A first one of the compartments has a predefined zone configured to receive a unit dose package having a pre-measured amount of treating agent incorporated into a water-soluble pouch. The machine has a valve configured to connect to a source of pressurized water, and a water conveying line fluidly connected to the valve and having one or more outlets. The entirety of the water conveying line is water tight except for the outlets. The outlets are configured to direct a respective pressurized flow of water therethrough. At least one outlet is configured to direct a first pressurized flow of water into the first compartment towards the predefined zone.

A laundry washing machine having an outer casing, a washing tub, a rotatable drum, a detergent dispenser, a fresh-water supply circuit, an internal water softening device filled with a water softening agent capable of reducing the hardness degree of the fresh water directed towards the detergent dispenser or the washing tub, a regeneration-agent reservoir located/recessed inside the outer casing and structured for being manually fillable with consumable salt or other regeneration agent, a first water-supply line for channeling fresh water into said regeneration-agent reservoir so as to form brine, a brine reservoir fluidically connected to said regeneration-agent reservoir for receiving and accumulating the brine arriving from said regeneration-agent reservoir, and a detector assembly for detecting when the salinity degree of the brine stored into brine reservoir exceeds a predetermined minimum salinity value.

Laundry washing machine comprising a water softening device

The present invention relates to a method for operating a laundry washing machine using a unit dose package comprising a pre-measured amount of treating agent incorporated into a water-soluble pouch, wherein the method comprises introducing the unit dose package into a compartment of a treating agents dispenser of the laundry washing machine and breaking the unit dose package inside the compartment.

A laundry washing machine () includes an outer casing (), a washing tub (), a rotatable drum housed in axially rotatable manner inside the washing tub (), a detergent dispenser (), a fresh-water supply circuit () for selectively channelling a flow of fresh water towards the detergent dispenser () and/or the washing tub (), and an internal water softening device () capable of reducing the hardness degree of the fresh water. The laundry washing machine () further includes: at least a main drawer () which is fitted/inserted in extractable manner into a corresponding substantially basin-shaped, drawer housing () which is located/recessed inside the outer casing (), and is provided with a substantially basin-shaped, manually tillable regeneration-agent compartment (); a first water-supply line () which is structured for selectively channelling a flow of fresh water into said regeneration-agent compartment () so as to form some brine; a brine container () which is located underneath the drawer housing () and communicates with the bottom of the drawer housing () so as to allow the brine to freely flow by gravity from a basin-shaped bottom portion () of said drawer housing () into the same brine container (); and an electrically-powered pump () able to selectively pump the brine from said brine container () to the water softening device ().

A laundry washing machine includes at least one drawer which is fitted/inserted in extractable manner into a corresponding substantially basin-shaped, drawer housing, which is located/recessed inside the outer casing, and is movable in a substantially horizontally-oriented, displacement direction (d) between a retracted position in which the drawer is almost completely recessed into the outer casing, and an extracted position in which the drawer partly juts out from the outer casing. The drawer in turn includes: a drawer-like supporting structure having a substantially basin-shaped, regeneration-agent compartment structured for being manually fillable with a given amount of regeneration agent, and a manually openable, lid assembly, which is fitted on the drawer-like supporting structure, on top of the regeneration-agent compartment, and is structured to selectively close/cover the upper mouth of the regeneration-agent compartment.

The detergent drawer includes one or more detergent compartments for filling with detergent, softener or other washing agent, and a regeneration-agent compartment for filling with consumable salt or other regeneration agent. The regeneration-agent compartment is arranged in the detergent drawer beside the detergent compartment/s transversally to the displacement direction (d) inside the housing. Both the detergent compartment/s and the regeneration-agent compartment are simultaneously fully accessible in the extracted position.

A laundry washing machine () connectable to a water mains (E, E') has a cabinet () supporting a washing tub () external to a rotatable washing drum () suited to receive laundry and a treating agents dispenser () connectable to the water mains (E, E&#x2032;) by means of at least one supply valve (). The treating agents dispenser () has a drawer () and a supporting structure () on which the drawer () can slide along a sliding axis (S). A water distributor () includes at least one inlet connector () adapted to connect the at least one supply valve () to at least one water conveying line () for conveying water to a reservoir () or to the washing tub (). The at least one inlet connector () extends along a main axis (X) which is inclined with respect to the sliding axis (S).

A laundry washing machine includes an outer casing and, inside the casing, a washing tub arranged inside the casing directly facing a laundry loading/unloading opening realized in a front wall of said casing, a rotatable drum arranged in axially rotating manner inside the washing tub and structured for receiving the laundry to be washed, a detergent dispenser which is structured for supplying detergent into the washing tub, and a water softening device which is structured for reducing the hardness degree of the fresh water supplied to the washing tub. The water softening device includes a water-softening agent container filled with a water softening agent able to reduce the hardness degree of the fresh water supplied to the washing tub, a regeneration-agent reservoir which is structured to receive a salt or other regeneration agent for performing a regeneration of the water softening function of the water softening agents, and a water supply circuit which is structured for selectively spilling/pouring a given amount of fresh water into the regeneration-agent reservoir. The regeneration-agent reservoir includes a regeneration-agent container which is fillable with a given quantity of regeneration agents, and the water supply circuit includes a first sprinkler head provided with a shower-making portion which is structured for feeding a shower of water droplets by gravity into the regeneration-agent container.

Laundry machine has a detergent dispensing assembly, a fresh-water supply circuit for selectively channeling a fresh water flow towards the detergent dispensing assembly, and a water softening device including a softening container having softening agent along the fresh-water supply circuit.
