A torsional moment acting on a component in a drive train of an aircraft may be determined using at least one sensor, where the determined torsional moment is used for adjusting at least one adjustable damping element located in or on the component and/or for regulating a torsional stiffness in the torque-conducting component. As a result, the torsional load in the component may be reduced.

A system includes a bearing, a lubricant line, a vessel and a sensor. The lubricant line is designed to introduce lubricant from a bearing gap of the bearing into the vessel. The sensor is designed to measure at least one physical variable of lubricant that is situated in the vessel. The vessel includes an outlet or overflow. The system includes a lubricant sump and a device for introducing lubricant from the sump into the bearing gap of the bearing.

Measuring arrangement for lubricant

A method for monitoring a condition of a sliding bearing operated with lubricating oil for a rotating component includes calculating, by a control unit as an output variable of a sliding bearing model, a calculated value of a minimum gap thickness of the sliding bearing. The calculated value is calculated by orbit analysis from at least one physical sliding bearing model to which at least a rotational speed of the rotating component, a bearing load, and a temperature of the sliding bearing are supplied as input variables. The method further includes measuring, with at least one sensor, a minimum gap thickness to provide a measured value of the minimum gap thickness, and comparing the measured value of the minimum gap thickness with the calculated value of the minimum gap thickness for the purpose of adjustment.

Model-based method and system for monitoring the condition of a sliding bearing, particularly for wind turbines

An arrangement determines a gradient signal in a vehicle. The arrangement has: a position capture device that determines a vehicle position at a first and second time and ascertains therefrom a distance traveled as a motion vector, and a laser distance sensor on the vehicle front at an angle to a vehicle longitudinal axis and configured to emit a laser beam in a direction of a first measuring point in front of the vehicle at the first and second time, and a length sensor to ascertain the length of the laser beam and its associated vector at the first and second time, and at least one detection device to ascertain a differential vector from the motion vector and the ascertained vectors and to form a gradient signal therefrom.

Arrangement and method for determining a gradient signal in a vehicle

A method for detecting damage and determining a type of damage and a degree or severity of damage to a component of a transmission. The method includes providing a first image of a portion of the component in a reference state and detecting a further image of the portion of the component after intended use. The further image of the portion of the component is detected in an installed state of the component. The method further includes determining, by comparing the further image with the first image, that the component is damaged, determining, by matching the further image against data of a damage database, a type of damage, and outputting the determined type of damage and a degree or severity of damage. The first image, the further image, and the data of the damage database are photographs.

Method and system for detecting damage to a component

An endoscope device for the automated inspection of the interior of a transmission. The endoscope has a control unit and an evaluation unit, a feed unit having a swivel element, a changer magazine having a plurality of guide channels and an endoscope. The control unit is connected to the endoscope and is largely provided for controlling the endoscope and for transmitting images to the evaluation unit. The swivel element is provided for aligning a distal end of the endoscope with respect to a relevant guide channel, and the feed unit is provided for axially passing the endoscope through the relevant guide channel. Furthermore, a transmission, in particular for a wind turbine, has a transmission housing having at least one access opening for receiving an endoscope device. Automated inspection of the interior of the transmission can be conducted by the endoscope device.

Endoscope device for an automatic examination

A plastic component, with fiber reinforcement, for use in a motor vehicle. The plastic component comprises a number of fiber layers connected to one another by injection of plastic and by a pressing force. The plastic component comprises at least two structural parts which overlap one another a pressing direction such that the die comprises at least one upper die portion formed with a pressing unit for applying a pressing force in the pressing direction, and at least one lower die portion which cooperates with the upper die portion to form a cavity in which the plastic component is formed. A die insert is fitted in the die and can move by and with the upper die portion and is designed to transmit the pressing force to the at least one structural part of the plastic component which is overlapped by the other structural part of the plastic component in the pressing direction.

Plastic component with a complex and bifurcated structure

A four-point link for the suspension of a rigid axle which has four bearing seats. Two bearing seats can be articulated on the axle and two can be articulated on the vehicle frame. The link has a single-piece link body which is inscribed by the trapezoid formed by the bearing seats. The link body is formed of a fiber-composite arrangement that comprises at least one longitudinal fiber arrangement. The longitudinal fiber arrangement encases the bearing seat, at least along half circumference thereof and extends along at least a portion of the link body in order to optimize loading, reduce mass and increase its application. Torsional compliance makes it possible to use relatively small and/or hard rubber bearings for articulating the four-point link or the vehicle axle.

The plastic components comprising at least two structural parts which overlap one another a pressing direction such that the die comprises at least one upper die portion formed with a pressing unit for applying a pressing force in the pressing direction, and at least one lower die portion which cooperates with the upper die portion to form a cavity in which the plastic component is formed. A wheel suspension element for a motor vehicle which comprises a supporting structure () for an axle of a motor vehicle and at least a rod for guiding, with the rod, at least an articulated wheel carrier () which can be connected to the supporting structure (). The supporting structure () is formed from a fiber composite material. The rod of the wheel suspension element is designed as an elastic spring rod () and is formed from a fiber composite material as one element with the supporting structure ().

An electromechanical device for driving and/or braking a shaft () includes an electric motor having a rotor () that is rotationally fixed to the shaft (), and a stator () supported in a housing () around the shaft () with a rotational degree of freedom in the peripheral direction in the direction of brake actuation. The stator () is operatively connected to the brake pad () by a device () that converts rotational movement of the stator () into axial movement of at least one brake pad () that is supported in an axially movable fashion such that, when the electric motor is operated as a generator, the stator () is rotated relative to the housing () by torque arising between the rotor () and the stator (), such that the brake pad () is pressed by the device () against the brake disc ().
