A sensor system includes a multi-frequency sensor assembly including a single sensor body housing with a sensing region circuit and a sensor reader disposed in the sensor body. The sensor body is configured to be in operational contact with a fluid. The sensing region circuit is configured to generate different electric fields having different frequencies in the fluid. The sensor reader includes one or more processors configured to examine one or more impedance responses of the sensing region circuit at different frequencies and to determine one or more properties of the fluid based on the one or more impedance responses that are examined.

Sensing system and method

A system and related method for precisely monitoring fluid or gas flows, comprising: a flow meter comprising a mechanical metering component; the mechanical metering component comprising a ferrous material; a three-axis magnetic field sensor for sensing fluctuations of a magnetic field arising from movements of the ferrous material, and specifically, for sensing a magnetic field vector of the magnetic field; computer processing for receiving data from the magnetic field sensor and storing magnetic field behavior data representing time behavior of the magnetic field vector in three space dimensions; calibration programming for analyzing and learning a magnetic signature of the meter; programming for storing a unique calibration pattern of the magnetic signature representing baseline behaviors thereof; and comparison programming for comparing behaviors of the magnetic field during operation with the calibrated baseline behaviors and thereby deducing flows which are occurring during operation as a function of time under various conditions.

Systems and methods are provided for environment sensing. The system includes a sensor node having a sensor. The sensor includes a sensing material configured to be in contact with an ambient environment. The system includes a remote system having a communication circuit and a controller circuit. The communication circuit is configured to be wirelessly communicatively coupled to the sensor node. The controller circuit electrically coupled to the communication circuit. The controller circuit configured to receive an impedance response of the sensing material and analyze the impedance response of the sensing material at frequencies that provide a linear response of the sensing material to an analyte of interest and at least partially reject effects of interferences.

Systems and methods for environment sensing

Provided are a device and method for allocating system resources. In one example, the method includes identifying resources that are available from a plurality of devices included in a system, allocating available resources of the plurality of devices to a plurality of components operating in the system, the allocating comprising reserving a set of resources from the plurality of devices in the system for each respective component, from among the plurality of components, based on operating requirements included in the metadata of the respective component, and managing the system based on the allocated resources. By allocating resources to components executing in the system, in advance, and preventing other components from consuming those resources, the system can operate with improved stability.

Method and device for allocating resources in a system

A control system includes a multi-core processor configured to operate plural different applications performing different operations for controlling a controlled system. The applications are associated with different levels of criticality based on the operations performed by the applications. The processor is configured to provide a single hardware platform providing both spatial and temporal isolation between the different applications based on the different levels of criticality associated with the different applications. The processor also is configured to synchronize communications of the applications operating in a real time operating system with scheduled communications of a time sensitive network (TSN).

A system for monitoring the orientation and position of components in an oil well. The system includes a first well component, a second well component, and a transducer attached to the first well component, for generating a pulse. The system also includes a transceiver attached to the second well component for measuring the parameters of the pulse generated by the transducer, and a processor in communication with the transceiver that receives information about the parameters of the pulse as measured by the transceiver, and that calculates the position of the transceiver relative to the transducer.

System and method for monitoring tool orientation in a well

A wireless sensor array communication system includes a plurality of wireless sensors each including a resonant circuit that is excited by an RF pulse so as to provide a resonant energy proportional to a measurand being monitored. A transceiver of an interrogator system transmits RF pulses to each of the sensors to excite the resonant circuits therein and receives RF signals transmitted from each of the sensors that are indicative of the resonant energy provided by the resonant circuit. A magnet-gradient coil arrangement of the interrogator system generates a magnetic field and selectively applies magnetic field gradients along a number of axes, such that a frequency and phase of the resonant energy provided by the resonant circuit of each wireless sensor is altered responsive thereto, with the altered frequency and phase of the resonant energy being a function of a location of the respective wireless sensor within the magnetic field.

A portable apparatus for operatively coupling a source of rotary torque to the rim of a valve handwheel comprises a coupling hub, to which three attachment arms are connected by hinge-type joints. The three attachments arms are equidistantly distributed around the perimeter of the coupling hub and extend radially downward and outward from the hub at an acute extension angle to the hub's central axis. The distal end of each attachment arm comprises a clamp, which is releasably attachable to the rim of the valve handwheel. A coupling stem extends upward from the coupling hub in alignment with the hub's central axis. The coupling stem is configured to connect to the source of rotary torque, so as to transmit the torque through the attachment arms to the rim of the valve handwheel. The length of the extension arms and/or their extension angle can be adjusted for various sizes of valve handwheels to be engaged.

The creep life management system also includes at least one reader unit coupled to a second component. The at least one reader unit is configured to transmit an interrogation request signal to the at least one sensor apparatus and receive a measurement response signal transmitted from the at least one sensor apparatus. The creep life management system further includes at least one processor programmed to determine a real-time creep profile of the first component as a function of the measurement response signal transmitted from the at least one sensor apparatus.

A system to detect a position of a pipe with respect to a BOP includes a casing disposed around an outer surface of a section of the pipe. The system further includes sensing devices that are disposed on the casing and arranged to form a plurality of arrays and configured to generate position signals. The arrays are disposed circumferentially around the casing and spaced from one another along the length of the casing. The system includes a processing unit configured to compute distance between the pipe and each sensing device. The processing unit generates a first alert when the distance between the pipe and at least one sensing device is different from a reference distance. The processing unit generates a second alert when the distance between the pipe and each sensing device of at least one array of sensing devices is different from the reference distance.
