A system for determining retention risk comprises a grouper, a filter, a normalizer, a feature vector extractor, a model builder, and a predictor. The grouper is for determining a set of time series of transactions where each is associated with one employee. The filter is for filtering the set of time series of transactions based on an employee transition characteristic to determine a subset of time series. The normalizer is for determining a model set of time series by normalizing the subset of time series. The feature vector extractor is for determining a set of feature vectors determined from a time series of the model set of time series. The model builder is for determining one or more models based at least in part on the set of feature vectors. The predictor is for predicting retention risk for a given employee using the one or more models.

A system is implemented to collect data from a plurality of different sources. The data comprises information about episodes experienced by a plurality of consumers. The system is configured to receive a cost estimate request from a user for a specified episode. The may access the data to determine a plurality of service items for the specified episode and the associated cost of each service item. An episode may be associated with one or many service items. The network-based service may generate a response to the cost estimate request. The response may include the plurality of service items determined for the specified episode and the associated cost information. The system may send the response to the user.

A method and system for eligible health care expense identification includes a process for eligible health care expense identification whereby electronic data including data representing health care expense transactions for a defined time frame is accessed. Electronic data representing rules defining eligible health care expenses is then obtained. The electronic data is then analyzed using the electronic data representing the rules defining eligible health care expenses to identify health care expense transactions that are potentially eligible for reimbursement from a health care expense account and/or a tax deduction. A user is then notified of the identified health care expense transactions.
