A locationally adjustable actuator is provided having a force input to a rod operatively associated with an automotive vehicle control. The actuator includes two parallelogram linkages which link an actuator pedal to a rod link which is pivotally connected with a rod which provides an automotive vehicle control input. The parallelogram arrangement is furthermore connected with a slider which is linearly adjustable with respect to the vehicle. Movement of the slider causes the actuator pedal to be linearly adjusted.

Adjustable pedal assembly

A vehicle wiper system is provided including a cross-vehicle shaft that drives a pair of actuation mechanisms for driving a pair of wiper assemblies. The actuation mechanisms each include a crank, a connecting rod and a lever arm, whereby the connecting rod operably interconnects the crank and lever arm. The lever arm is fixed for rotation with a wiper post, which is in turn fixed to the wiper assembly. The actuation mechanism drives reciprocal rotation of the wiper post, thereby driving reciprocal sweeping motion of the wiper assemblies. The cross-vehicle shaft is driven by a motor that is controlled by a controller.

Wiper system mechanism

An adjustable automotive pedal system includes a parallel bar suspension system for a foot pedal assembly system, such that the foot pedal can be adjusted toward the driver seat or away from the driver seat without adversely changing the force-stroke relationship between the foot pedal and the component being controlled by the foot pedal. The pedal system can be used with the vehicle brake, or vehicle clutch, or accelerator linkage.

Adjustable pedal system

A selectively operable storage system incorporated within the passenger compartment of an automotive vehicle is described. The storage system is preferably deployed underneath the rear seat structure, for example, below the seat bottom structure. The storage system can include any number and combination of selectively operable sliding trays, pivoting trays, collapsible trays, pivoting lids, storage bins, and track systems.

A third seat for an automotive vehicle having a front seat assembly and a rear seat assembly, the latter being located intermediate the front seat assembly and the third seat assembly, the third seat assembly comprising a seat portion and an upright back support portion, the seat portion being supported by a linkage mechanism on a seat frame, the linkage mechanism providing articulation that permits the seat portion to be moved forwardly toward a second seat assembly without the necessity of tiling and inverting the seat portion about a pivotal axis whereby the seat portion forms a cargo-carrying platform, the upright back support portion being foldable in a forward direction to form a continuation of the platform, the third seat assembly including a lock on the seat portion that prevents folding movement of the upright back support portion when the third seat portion functions as a passenger seat, the lock being released automatically as the seat portion articulates toward its cargo-carrying position.

Third automotive seat assembly for an automotive vehicle

An armrest assembly comprising a bin defining a storage compartment and a cover hinged to the bin for movement between open and closed positions. A shaft rotatably supports the cover on the bin for pivotal movement of the cover relative to the bin. A helical torsion spring is coiled about the shaft and has one end reacting with the bin and the other end reacting with the cover for continuously urging the cover to the open position. A detent, having at least one caming surface, is disposed on the shaft for engaging the bin and is rotatable with the cover for retaining the cover in at least one detent position. The detent is located between the bin and the spring. Accordingly, the spring continuously biases the detent axially against the bin and also continuously biases the cover to the open position.
