A method of forming a composite component comprising a layer which consists at least partly of polyethylene, a layer which consists at least partly of a polyurethane and/or an elastomer, at least one layer which consists at least partly of a plastic reinforced by fibers, or which consists at least partly of an adhesive, wherein the layer is disposed directly between the layer and the layer, wherein the layers have been joined in a first operation to form a laminate composite and the layer have been joined in a second operation onto the laminate composite comprising the layers.

Multilayer composite component

There is provided a wind turbine rotor blade comprising a rotor blade casing, and a lightning protection system having at least one lightning protection cable and a lighting protection cable holder. The lighting protection cable holder is fixed in or to the inside of the rotor blade casing. The lighting protection conductor holder has a first part and a second part. The first part is fixed to an inside of the rotor blade casing and has a receiving portion for receiving the lighting protection cable. The second part is in the form of a cover or covering means and is placed over the receiving portion. The first and second parts each have a radar-absorbing core or a radar-absorbing layer and an electrically insulating material which surrounds the radar-absorbing core or the radar-absorbing layer.

Wind turbine rotor blade with a lightning protection system

A wind turbine rotor blade comprising a lightning protection system. The lightning protection system has at least one receptor, a lightning protection conductor and a further element. A portion of the lightning protection conductor is in electrical contact with the further element by a connector. The connector has a screw with a collar as well as a nut with a female thread and a collar. The nut and the screw can be screwed together.
