A speed reduction gear train comprising a sun gear, an annular gear, and planet gears meshing with the sun gear and the annular gear and mounted in a cage having axial housings between pairs of adjacent planet gears. The cage is connected to a cage carrier having axial arms received in the housings by radial pins disposed in the midplane of the cage by means of spherical finger connections allowing the cage carrier to tilt and to move axially relative to the cage.

An oil deaerator device for an oil tank comprises a cylindrical chamber having a tangential inlet duct in its lower portion for the introduciton of pressurized oil to be deaerated, tangential outlet ducts for the deaerated oil in the upper portion of the chamber, and an axial outlet duct, also in the uper portion of the chamber, for the discharge of air from the chamber. The device, which operates on the vortex principle, is fitted within the tank in the upper portion thereof above the normal level of oil in the tank.

Oil deaerator device

A device for coupling two rotary machines with provision for automatic uncoupling under certain operational conditions, comprising a first shaft and a second shaft in two parts which are connected for motion transmission in a first sense by a dog clutch connection and in a second sense by an intermediate co-axial shaft and transverse pins. In the first sense an accidental excess torque is limited by fracture of a frangible groove section disposed in the first shaft. In the second sense in which a substantially lower torque is exerted, this is limited by the fracture of a second frangible groove section disposed in the intermediate shaft. After fracture of this second groove section, the first shaft and one part of the second shaft will become spaced apart and the one shaft part is maintained in this position by a blocking mechanism comprising at one end a cylindrical bush accommodating a radial spring and balls which are displaced to an internal groove of the other shaft part.
