A data acquisition and perusal system and method including a database selection module, a database index generator module and a search module. The database selection module enables selection of a plurality of files for inclusion into at least one selectable database. The database index generator module enables generation of a searchable index of the data contained in the selectable database. The search module enables a search to be performed of the searchable index according to search criteria. The system allows for the capture of HTML data which is automatically indexed without human intervention and has the ability to automatically and accurately locate or 'pinpoint,' and highlight specific text or groups of text designated by the user within the resulting database.

Database system and method for data acquisition and perusal

A data acquisition and perusal system and method which enable: selection of a plurality of files for inclusion into at least one selectable database; generation of a searchable index of the data contained in the selectable database; and searches of the searchable index according to search criteria. This invention allows users to view, acquire, and generate single- or multiple-data sources locally or remotely, and to compile, index, modify, and append the data sources according to default or user defined criteria. This invention can: selectively acquire and display data contained within remote databases; capture automatically indexed HTML data; and automatically 'pinpoint,' and highlight specific text or groups of text designated by the user within the resulting database. This invention contains a link module enabling custom links to be defined between selected terms of selected files of the selectable database including the custom links so that the searchable index includes only valid links.

Systems and methods of processing financial transaction information are provided. In one embodiment, a financial institution runs an index generating software program to generate a downloadable index of images of cleared checks. The account customer uses complementary software to remotely download, search, and display the index of cleared check images, together with the images themselves. In another embodiment, the financial institution periodically runs a software program to generate digital archives of the cleared check images for the account customer. The account customer is provided with secure online access to the digital archives. The account customer may use standard financial bookkeeping software to download and display the cleared check images and associate the cleared check images with transactions in the associated account registers.

Check image access system

A system and method is provided for processing, indexing, packaging, and delivering financial statements and the corresponding transaction document images to customers on a periodic basis. A cooperating system is provided for the customer to efficiently search and access those images from the customer's workstation.

Such a system contains a link module that enables custom links to be defined between selected terms of selected files of the selectable database including the custom links so that the searchable index includes only valid links.
