A downhole filtration system for use in a drill string includes a filter assembly configured to filter debris from a drilling fluid, a first pressure sensor located at an uphole end of the filter assembly, a second pressure sensor located at a downhole end of the filter assembly, and a control unit configured to receive and transmit data from the first and second pressure sensors to surface equipment in real time.

Downhole filtration systems and related methods in oil and gas applications

A tool includes a main body configured to be disposed within a tubular string within a wellbore, such that a location of the tool within the tubular string is changeable between a surface location and a downhole location. The tool includes one or more sensors configured to measure downhole parameters from which the physical properties of the wellbore can be determined. The tool further includes a flapper configured (a) to, in response to the position of the tool changing from the surface location to the downhole location, pivot radially from a closed position in which the flapper is aligned with the main body to an open position in which the flapper is away from the main body, and (b) to, in response to the position of the tool changing from the downhole location to the surface location, pivot radially from the open position to the closed position.

Wellbore properties measurement and determination

A wellbore assembly includes a pipe body and a chamber. The pipe body resides at a terranean surface of a wellbore and is fluidly coupled to a surface inlet of the wellbore. The chamber is coupled to the pipe body and has multiple slots each configured to house a wellbore component. Each slot revolves about a central axis of the chamber to align its respective wellbore component with a bore of the pipe body. The pipe body has a fluid inlet fluidly coupled to a pump that flows fluid to the pipe body. The fluid inlet is disposed upstream of the chamber. The pipe body directs the fluid from the fluid inlet to the inlet of the wellbore to push, from a first slot, a first wellbore component that is to be deployed downhole within the wellbore.
